What is it? #42 - the NOT A CLOUD edition!

Hello there!  I'm back for What is it? And this time, the feature is a piece of modern art from the Streets of Spitalfields, London.  I saw the sculpture and wanted to take a picture.  The flash didn't work first time and it came out in eerie shadows. I edited the shadows to darken it further and here we have it.

I'd like to know what you think the whole sculpture depicts and what its title might be? And NO cheating and googling it!!! Any details or thoughts will do no matter how detailed or sparse  in content.

What about last time?

Last time, this cloud was my offering.  I saw this as a poodle. He is facing to the right, you can see his ear and he has a long snout with a darker nose on the end.  Either his tongue is hanging out One front foot is lifting up like he wants to shake hands.

How did the lovely commenting crew react?

  4. I do not find it reassuring to have my idea agree with others or, more accurately, they should probably worry if such takes place. Please seek psychological help should your answer match mine in any way, this may be your last chance before the transformation is complete. Ohhhh, I feel like perhaps I am not behaving. Rats! No, that's not what I see, what I see is a little Foo Foo bird en profile, beek to the right, tail to the left.

  5. A side on view of a dog, facing the right with his tongue hanging out. I almost got a face from the centre bottom bit, like some stoner guy, possibly even skeletal like, but as it gets upwards beyond his mouth/nose it disappears and I see the dog instead!

  6. Well - to me - I'd go for a dog swimming in the sea!

  9. I do love these! The first time I looked I saw a very large hand, reaching out towards the skies. Perhaps it's a blessing for good weather to come? I can definitely see the outline of a dog in there too. - Tasha

Ooh, lots of agreement here- Julie, Pinkhaired Princess, Tasha, Polyester Princess, Jan (Low Carb diabetic), Bevchen all saw the dog.    Ivana and Shamu saw animals in other forms!

I'd also like to just say a little something here. My dear blogging friend Julia, who was one of my most brilliant participants in What is it? and a dear blogging friend, loyal and commented so considerately and personally, has hung up her blogging shoes and I will truly miss her.  She is a kind, hard-working individual and even though she won't be reading this, I want to thank her for her cheerful and fun participation in this over the past few years- she and I almost always saw the same thing!!

  1. To me the statue kind of looks like a balloon surrounded by rubbish bags on the floor. I suppose I sound like a total heathen!!

  2. A bollard surrounding by rubbish or a squished Dalek with a bent exterminator plunger :-)

Cannot wait for the reveal :-)

  5. It is very fruity - but I won't reveal what. One of my favourite blogs [other than yours, dear Kezzie] is this one http://spitalfieldslife.com/ written anonmously by "The Gentle Author" I have learned so much about this part of London from this beautifully written blog. Did you see the Spitalfields Goat, and the Bunnies sculptures too??

  8. To me, it looks like a girl or lady surrounded by garbage bags. I'm really curious to know what it really is, but I won't cheat and look it up. xxx

I always feel sad when somebody I love stops blogging but as there were times when I considered it myself, I can understand them...but I still miss them. I know how you feel..and who knows maybe Julia returns some day.

  12. I have no idea for this one!
What a shame Julia is no longer blogging, I always think it's so sad when someone decides to stop. All the work that goes into a blog - it seems a shame to stop, but I guess it's having the time and the inclination.
I can't imagine stopping altogether, my posting might be sporadic but I enjoy it too much. And I hope you never stop!

  13. Oh I love Sarah's remark about the Daleks ... I'm going to use that too - if I may!!??

Actually I think the flash not going off made this a good atmospheric picture.

    All the best Jan
