Dear Manchester,
I am very glad to be visiting you for the first time in 13 years but just for a christening seems a loooooong way to go!
Dear CBC,
Ha, brinkmanship worked with the washing-up!
And thanks for making me giggle with your turning a serious speech into The Chipmunks with your cunning editing. So funny!
Dear Aqua-aerobics,
Aaaaaah, you were so funny! I am sorry I giggled the entire way through! But I hope you did my muscles some good!
Dear Local Swimming Pool,
I am LOVING living so near you- for the first time in my life (except for uni for 1 year)- let's get to know each other more!!!!
Dear Idiotic self
WHY is it that the day you forgot your keys (left in swimming bag), you decide to come home early, and it is absolutely tipping it down with rain. You think about stopping off in the town near school for a quick mooch but decide it's better to get home, then at the local station, you contemplate going into Aldi for a quick look, but decide not to and only realise when you arrive home drenched, that you have no key. And your husband is not home yet and is not answering his phone!
Dear Carola Dunn,
Thank you for another classic Daisy Dalrymple Whodunnit. I enjoyed it muchly!
Dear Year 5 classes,
What a miracle we managed to get through our entire River Journey piece unscathed despite the fact you hadn't played your places on the river for 3 weeks and your river patterns and melody for 4 weeks. How did we manage to put it together in less than one hour!??!?!!
Dear Crispoholics,
You are welcome here!
Dear BBC,
Why no Doctor Who this year? WHY, WHY, WHY????
Dear Bloggy-chums,
Thanks for your enthusiasm and kindness and continued comments- you are all cool!
Dear Bed,
Let's get to know each other better. I don't know why I am so reluctant to go to you until the small hours- it's doing me no good!!!!
Dear Earl Grey,
Why did you run out so soon!?? I'm having to do with your inferior Counterpart- Mr English Breakfast!
Who would you write to?
xx
Oh I wish I lived nearer a pool. I feel so at home in the water. If it were possible and if I were sure death by turning into a prune was impossible, I would find away to never again tread dry land. Just Kevin Costner and I. That is a movie reference that is from a movie either A)too old or B)too stupid for you to understand I suppose, but it made me smile. As for bed, yes please write mine too. I have zero impulse control when it comes to getting sleep. Currently it is the siren song of Pogo games standing between me and 40 winks. Happy weekend bloggy friend!
ReplyDeleteThese made me laugh. My letter would probably be to my brain right at this moment asking why it insists on waking me up so early on a Saturday morning when I don't have to get up and not letting me go back to sleep. Grrr! X
ReplyDeleteNo Dr Who is a big, big disappointment.

I'm actually glad there's no Doctor Who this year, as long as we get a Christmas special! We're re-watching the entire series again and we're on season 2 now, the storylines are soo much better in the earlier ones, I hope it comes back with better writing!
ReplyDelete"Who would you write to?"
ReplyDeleteWhy you Dear Kezzie to say ...
Thanks for a lovely blog post, I enjoyed it and it made me smile
My thanks
Jan
PS I also got rather wet yesterday - talk about a bad hair day!!!
Have a lovely weekend
All the best Jan
Crispoholic signing in - just done a blog post about some of the flavours in France (https://fatdormouse.wordpress.com/2016/04/16/goats-cheese-crisps-really/)Which ones do you fancy the sound of?!
ReplyDeleteI love these letters! Might just have a go at writing some myself...think they'd be good therapy!
ReplyDeleteAh, the missed keys. I locked myself in the concrete stairs again the other day. The building manager rescued me. How frustrating that is!! I enjoyed your letter. I'd write to the sun, Dear Sun, Please come home soon. We miss you and love you to bits! We're sorry if we've offended you and promise to be very nice from now on. Sincerely, Your Best Pal, Melanie
ReplyDeleteDear Kezzie, thank you for making me smile! xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree with the letter to the BBC. I need more Doctor!
ReplyDeleteI worry about forgetting my keys so I usually leave a door unlocked...don't tell the bad guys! Not that we have much to steal. I don't lock my car generally, either.
Hope you're having a beautiful weekend!
Hahaha, dear Kezzie, your post gave such a smile :) I love it! The letters for the 5 year-old kids, to the swimming pool, to your bed, to BBC (why no Doctor Who?), to Manchester... all so so so very cool, like you are! I admire you for your posts, for your working load, for exercising and so much more, and I post once a week - but that is the way it works for me :) and visit your blog at least once a week, but you know I am loyal :) The best letter was the rainy day-forgetting the keys- and husband not answering the phone. Argh, that is bad, but it happens! Hope you are having a nice weekend!

Dear Spring, where did you go? Or did you just decide to forget about Northumberland for now? Sincerely, Chilly in Chillingham
ReplyDeleteGood choice of letters. Ugh, I have the same message winging it's way to my bed. I know why, I have so much to do during the day, I feel guilty if I sleep when I should be getting on with it all. Can't keep it up though. I need to write a letter to myself to sort my life out quite frankly!
ReplyDeleteKezzie, I feel your Doctor Who pain... And I also definitely feel you on the bed front - more sleep please! I am glad to hear that the River Journey piece went well and that all of your blog comments are keeping you happy. - Tasha
ReplyDeleteI hate Earl Grey and only drink English Breakfast. If you ever come to visit I'll make sure to purchase some of the yukky stuff ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe snow! "Dear Snow, I will see you NEXT winter. Please stop interrupting spring."
ReplyDeleteOne of the rare things I don't like about Mostar is that there isn't any good public pools available. There are a few private ones that are supposedly good ( in hotel) but they're incredibly expenssive....but how I care to complain when Adriatic is so near? That's not nice of me. I love swimming in the sea! Besides, during Summer there is a great open pool/ beach club in Mostar so I take advantage of that.
ReplyDeleteI love this post. The concept of writing these letters is something I really like. Good for him to have made you giggle:)
Dear Plumber Man, thank you for finally coming back, now the wet carpet patch in the bedroom is three foot across and not six inches :|
