What is it? #88 Mummykins' Cloud

Welcome back to another edition of 'What is it?
It is another Guest edition.  The image was provided by my Mum, AKA Mummykins.
She sent me this cloud and asked me what I saw.
What about you?  Beyond an image of condensed water, what do you see this shape as?
DO leave a comment sharing what you think it looks like!

What about last time?
My lovely blog friend Kelly provided the inspiration photo:

Here is what Kelly said it was in her mind:

  1. I love all these answers and can absolutely see them. My first thought was the same as Jabblog and Polyester Princess. A tree! The "trunk" amazed me because it's not a contrail... it's a cloud!

And here's the rest of us:

  1. I see a tree with branches reaching to the sky on a summer evening.

  2. That is a beautiful cloud formation! It looks like a ballerina doing a grand jete while holding a floaty lace veil or scarf in her hands as she leaps. :)

  3. I will wait another day before saying what I saw in the cloud!

  4. Like Janice, my first thought was a tree! Whatever it is it is truly stunning! xxx

  5. That's a gorgeous cloud! It looks like a clock dandelion with the seeds starting to blow away.

  6. It looks like a ballerina balancing on on one foot and with her hear floating in the form of bubbles or just surrounded by floating bubbles

  7. I guess it is my turn to leave a comment as Kelly is the originator. I saw it as a ballerina or a dancer standing one one leg, doing some sort of arabesque but she is doing it outside and her beautiful longer length dress is billowing in the wind! So, could be a tree covered in glorious bloosom!

  9. Just stopping by to wish you a lovely evening.

So lots of us saw it as a tree, just like Kelly but Ivana, Bless and I also saw it as a ballet-dancer!

Thank you so much to Kelly for sharing her image.

What is it? #43

Welcome to What is it? in which you can exercise your imagination!

Here's a cloud I saw on my way home from Manchester.

Let's have a closer look.

What does it remind you of apart from a cloud? Does the shape or the way any parts are shadowed remind you of anything? Are there any bits sticking out or any sort of arrangement that remind you of anything?  Leave a comment if so.

All comments and ideas welcome. I only tease Shamu because he deliberately misbehaves.

What about last time?

I gave you some street art in shadow at Spitalfields Market and asked what you thought it was or what its title was.

Well, here's the real answer:

What did you lot at home think about it?
I loved the ideas and imagination here!

  1. To me the statue kind of looks like a balloon surrounded by rubbish bags on the floor. I suppose I sound like a total heathen!!

  2. A bollard surrounding by rubbish or a squished Dalek with a bent exterminator plunger :-)

Cannot wait for the reveal :-)

  3. A tiny, bad Transformer (perhaps Turdicus Prime) has melted a mailbox in a case of mistaken identity.

  4. I can kind of see a pear...a fruit salad!

  5. It is very fruity - but I won't reveal what. One of my favourite blogs [other than yours, dear Kezzie] is this one http://spitalfieldslife.com/ written anonmously by "The Gentle Author" I have learned so much about this part of London from this beautifully written blog. Did you see the Spitalfields Goat, and the Bunnies sculptures too??

  6. To me it looks like a moomin sitting on a heap of... something.

  7. Haha, it does look like a poodle!

  8. To me, it looks like a girl or lady surrounded by garbage bags. I'm really curious to know what it really is, but I won't cheat and look it up. xxx

  9. to me it looks like frood...pear to be more precise!

I always feel sad when somebody I love stops blogging but as there were times when I considered it myself, I can understand them...but I still miss them. I know how you feel..and who knows maybe Julia returns some day.

  10. like fruit..a pear!
sorry for the typo...I don't know how I typed frood instead of fruit unless I was thinking about food...hm, maybe a Freudian slip on my part, I might be hungry:)

  11. That cloud definitely looks like Tavi! The sculpture looks like something that the daleks have exterminated! Sarah x

  12. I have no idea for this one!
What a shame Julia is no longer blogging, I always think it's so sad when someone decides to stop. All the work that goes into a blog - it seems a shame to stop, but I guess it's having the time and the inclination.
I can't imagine stopping altogether, my posting might be sporadic but I enjoy it too much. And I hope you never stop!

  13. Oh I love Sarah's remark about the Daleks ... I'm going to use that too - if I may!!??

Actually I think the flash not going off made this a good atmospheric picture.

    All the best Jan
