TARDIS Tuesday -The Woman Who fell to Earth

I'm incredulous that I have not shared this cosplay since December 2022. Really???? I've definitely worn it. The whole thing. In fact, the coat in this outfit is probably my most worn Yaz Khan item- it's my car travel coat as it is so cosy, roomy and comfortable for a long car journey.

Let's look at the inspiration, worn in Yaz's debut episode:

An unnamed pink woolly sweater, a Zara shaggy coat, blue skinny jeans, red gloves and Dune Pacey burgundy boots.

Nothing has changed about this outfit- I love it as it is even if it is completely not my usual colour scheme!

Last time, I took photos in the same spot but there was no pond here before! We have newts! CBC is excited about this!

It's a good all round, cosy day outfit!

Here are some things I am happy about:
1.  The newts! CBC and I are super happy about the newts! We have named some of them: King CaNewt, Olivia Newton John, Isaac Newton.  Looking for them is fun.  Weirdly, on Thursday night, I came home and found a newt on the front door step. It seemed dead as it didn't move but it was gone teh next morning.
2.  We had a wonderful Kensington Chamber Orchestra on Saturday.  We played Mendelssohn's wonderful, Reformation Symphony, composed to celebrate the centenary of Martin Luther.  The last movement is based on Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is our God.  Before it, is a beautiful flute cadenza/fantasie, which Mendelssohn bizarrely cut from his second version of this Symphony but it is gorgeous! It only appears in one edition of the symphony. I was very happy I got to play this. Listen to it here from  20:10ish....

3.  I found out this evening that my school choir got through to the final of our local Primary Choir of the Year competition.  Yay, we got through two years ago also! Very happy!

4.  I made my first nettle soup of the season. I also included a load of goosegrass in it too for extra vitamins and three cornered leek  There's loads around at the moment. I also made some delicious croutons to go with it from some old bread that had gone hard.   We also made some yummy honey and sesame parsnip chips to accompany it as we had to use up some old parsnips!

5. I started a new Katherine Rundell book called The Good Thieves which I am really enjoying so far.

6. I had 5 people in the audience on Saturday- CBC's Mum, brother, partner AND even a French cousin and his girlfriend! It is really nice to have people there to watch you when performing!

7.  We're finally using up some very old flour in the cupboard!

8.  I went over to my Godmother's on Friday night. It was lovely to see her and her daughter!

9.  Very glad I made up lots of apple and blackberry for the freezer. Most of it was free apart from the energy and honey (which was a present!)I am still eating it!

10. I'm a bit nervous about it, but I'm playing 1st flute for Orchestra of the City's next concert, rehearsals start on Wednesday! Fingers crossed it will go ok! It's exciting to have the chance to do this!

TARDIS Tuesday -Spyfall Mustard

Hello there!

Ooof, I am tired!  It's all my own fault.  I have been putting off getting my report grades done for 2 weeks. I should have done it over Half term but I didn't.  The teachers have to submit their reports on Thursday completed so I really did need to send them my music Effort and Attainment grades before that so I finally completed them and sent them off at precisely 2.37am this morning after working on them (as well as doing some previous marking as extra evidence since about 6pm! I was in bed by about 3am.

I felt decidedly groggy at 7.15 this morning when I finally dragged myself out of bed after numerous alarms!  Luckily, the day was actually quite good in terms of lessons and drumming club except for the wretched hall computer. It is a complete diva.  Any time there is some sort of public event (or, to be fair, quite frequently in assemblies) it decides to have a hissy fit and not work.  Sometimes, it might be the screen will refuse to turn on. Or the image won't show up.  Or the sound system wont work. Or the sound system will play really quietly through the projector on the ceiling but not through the speakers around the hall.  This morning, it decided to refuse to turn on the actual screen image and then the sound system decided to mimic a hurricane the moment you turned it on. I had a strop at it and then all the children were there for singing assembly waiting for something, anything to turn on or to hush up!  I ended up teaching them a different song by heart and the ICT lead managed to get the screen working by the END of singing assembly. I was slightly stressed about it because tomorrow, my school is hosting the local round of the Primary Choir of the Year Competition and 2 of the schools are using backing tracks. It would be absolutely typical and extremely awful and embarrassing if it didn't work!!!

Anyway, I enjoyed my day.  The Year 4 children did really well at exploring pentatonic scales and learning about sharps and flats and playing in octaves.

Onto TARDIS Tuesday.

It is an outfit which has featured twice on TARDIS Tuesday and the last time apparently I featured it was March 2022. REALLY?  I am sure I had featured it since then but perhaps I wore it and didn't photograph it?

It was worn in Series 12 opening episode, Spyfall:

Image borrowed from
The Ultimate Guide to the Fashion of Doctor Who

Yaz wears her ubiquitous All Saints jacket, in black this time, a sheer mustard blouse with acorn print from French Connection, some light blue skinny jeans, grey trainers and a black camisole underneath.

Here is my 2026 iteration and I think, my closest, best one so far though I think I do prefer it with black trousers.

Sheila recently talked about the annoyance of vegan leather starting to flake off the neck or shoulders of one of her jackets.  My very cheap £2.50 charity shop H&M jacket is doing the same which is really annoying.  Still, the front looks ok.   I have £2.50 blue jeans bought from the same charity shop which are a good match for Yaz's and CBC's abandoned Tu trainers work as a great substitute for Yaz's.

The acorn blouse is just the same as my previous outfit.
I'm pleased with the match but I think I might try to wear this blouse under a dress next time.

Wish me and my choir luck for the Primary Choir of the Year competition. We got to the final last time and it would be lovely to get there again this time but who knows if we will be good enough!  I was very pleased with their practice on Friday, they had really worked on the harmonies in one song and the actions and storytelling in the other one!

Hope all is well with you!

TARDIS Tuesday - Yasmin Khan in Flux!

For TARDIS Tuesday this week, I thought I'd pay a return visit to Yasmin Khan from Series 13, known as Flux!

Let's have a look at the inspiration pictures.

https://www.bbcamerica.com/

https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/television-academy-board-directors-nne-ebong-jamily-hunter-1235090265/

I managed to make some screen shots where Yaz wore her outfit WITHOUT the leather jacket  from some Doctor Who challenge videos for Behind the Scenes.

Her blouse AND jeans come from All Saints (I IDed the jeans) and her necklaces, not really visible are from Alex Monroe. Her boots are Leonore boots from Dr Martens.

The blouse is the most striking part of this outfit!

And here's my 2026 iteration of this outfit. It's the 3rd time it has featured on TARDIS Tuesday.

I since I last wore it, I managed to identify and purchase the jeans which are called Jules from All Saints, a very posh brand. Despite them being a skinny jeans, I actually found them quite comfortable, presumably because of the good quality stretchy denim cotton.

The blouse, also from All Saints which has the name Caressa (Almost my name!) is very pretty and so vibrant for a dull January day!

I wore another pair of Yaz's  boots, from Dune, rather than the Dr Martens and added my usual Clara Oswald brown leather jacket which is cracking a little bit now on the collar which is the danger of fake leather! It's happening to both my 'leather' jackets!

Today was a good day at school.  I had 3 productive lessons with year 4 and one Year 3 lesson that seemed to go well for the kids (they enjoyed it and did what they were supposed to!). Drumming club was also enjoyable. I had one new member today which makes the total up to 12 children. It's not the usual 16 I'd have, but it's better than the start of the year!

CBC and I had some delicious Kashmiri sweet potato curry from Leon Lewis, brilliant Veggie chef who I visited on Saturday to purchase some of his meals.  We also dined on a delicious red cabbage, cranberry, pecan and pickled salad by him and some filo veggie parcels- Delicious!!!

Hope all is well with you!

TARDIS Tuesday -Demons of the Punjab Yasmin Khan and a nostalgia trip!

Almost five years ago, it was my 40th Birthday in Lockdown because of Covid 19 and many of my dear blogger friends agreed to dress up as Doctor Who characters for my online birthday party which was utterly wonderful as I could not have a real life celebration! It's one of my favourite posts ever.  Do go and have a look at the post if you weren't around then or even go and have a look for nostalgia's sake if you WERE around!  You can find it here! I'm sad that some of my besties don't blog anymore!

This week, I am returning to the outfit worn in that post. I CANNOT believe I haven't posted it subsequently in the 5 intervening years. I'm turning 45 in the next month. Hmmm, enough said about that!

Let's have a look at the outfit inspiration in question. It was worn by character, Yasmin Khan, portrayed by Mandip Gill in a historical episode called Demons of the Punjab.

I wore this last Tuesday for work at school though I took the photos on Sunday to try and exploit the light! I was fed up of not having much TARDIS Tuesday as I couldn't take any good photos so some forward prep was necessary.

I received several compliments for this outfit. It makes me think of aubergines!
The jumper AND blazer come from Whistles originally. This blazer was always elusive to find so I was pleased to find it before my 40th birthday.  The combination of glittery purple merino wool sweater with glitter and this thick cotton waffle blazer was deliciously cosy for a cold day.
I wore some black ASOS trousers which are useful but I realise I've got a better pair of trousers to match for future reference.
Notice my trainers.  These belong to CBC.  He bought them in Cornwall in Sainsbury's a couple of years ago when we were there on holiday.  He soon decided he didn't like them and hasn't worn them again. I tried them on and I find them very comfortable! I was looking for my Adidas trainers in the cupboard and found these instead which are more of a match for Yaz's one.

The final touches were my 40th birthday present from my Dad and Stepmum, this beautiful Posy loop necklace from Alex Monroe with daisies and bees, two of my favourite things.

It's so nice to feature a Yaz outfit without a leather jacket! Perhaps next time I feature it, I might even get my Mum to imitate the hairstyle!

Hope all is well with you!

#TARDISTuesday Yaz Khan

Hi there!

I wore this TARDIS Tuesday outfit for school today and I was determined to ACTUALLY photograph it! Managed to get CBC to take a picture for me too so no faffing with the tripod!

I cannot believe that I haven't featured this outfit since May 2023 for this week's TARDIS Tuesday.  Utterly perplexed!

This will be the 3rd time I have featured a version of this outfit for TT!

Let's look at the original!

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-news/jodie-whittaker-faces-final-doctor-25333198

Worn by Yaz Khan in The Power of the Daleks, it is classic Yaz.

It featured a Dessa Balfern jacket by All Saints, and a burgundy and black snakeskin-print blouse, also from All Saints.  Some unidentified boots which may be from Doc Martens and some black jeans.

I like this outfit because it's made out of cotton materials, not leather or synthetic!

Last time I featured this outfit, I was wearing the screen accurate jacket but NOT one owned by me.  I was the recipient of this jacket for my Russian friend Anna who lives in Argentina.  I sent it onto her but she let me take some photos in it.  I liked the jacket but never planned to buy it as the RRP was ££££ (over £100, possibly £200!!).  However, a year or so back, I saw it for sale for £5 on Vinted! £5!?!?!?!  I couldn't resist it at that price and I am glad I went for it! Such a jolly Autumnal colour.

I wore my ASOS black trousers as usual. I do actually have a pair of SA Yaz Khan All Saints jeans (not these ones!) which were a bargain at £5 too but I can't wear jeans for school!

I am not the biggest fan of animal print but the snake skin print on this shirt, also from All Saints is really pretty in the colours it features in! It was also very cheap! I like the fact it's actually cotton and has nice balloon sleeves and elasticated cuffs!

I'm not sure if she is wearing any necklaces but I decided to wear my K necklace!

For warmth, I added in this mustard cardigan from White Stuff (a present from my Father in Law and Mother in Law a long time ago when FiL was still alive). I know it was cold today because I kept this cardie on all day even when I was playing 'In and out the dusty blue bells' with Year 1 children in the music room!

A final touch is my hair in plaits! I found this amazing blog which is dedicated to analysing ALL of Yaz Khan's outfits, shoes, jewellery AND hairstyles and they show that this hairstyle is actually 2 strand twisted braids so I might try that another time! You can find it here

I enjoyed this outfit and it's nice to return to Yaz's outfits again!

TARDIS Tuesday- Yaz Khan from Can you Hear Me?

Today, we are starting back to my main orchestra, Kensington Chamber Orchestra.  I'm looking forward to it but not the very late night! I don't get home until around 23.45!
This week is a bit busy with 2 rehearsals, watching Frozen at CBC's school then I have two performances. Balinese Gamelan at Battersea Arts centre in London on Friday and an orchestra concert on SAturday.
Anyway, for TARDIS this week, I have  pretty niche outfit. It's worn by Yaz Khan in Can You Hear Me? in a brief scene where she has a flashback to where she ran away from home.
She wears a grey tiger print hoodie, blue jeans and lilac trainers.
https://custardcreamsandstripysocks.home.blog/2022/08/07/yazs-costume-in-every-episode-series-12/

I am not super into animal print but I really like this hoodie. I have seen it over the years but never bought it as I didn't want to pay much for it if I did. The RRP is £135.
Anyway, as you can see, I did find it:

I saw it on Vinted for £5. I made a cheeky offer of £4 as it had apparently been on there for a while and it was accepted.  It's quite cropped which I really like.  I didn't bother to make the rest of the outfit accurate as I didn't have time to look at photos. I thought it might be blue jeans and trainers but I just decided to throw these black trousers and boots on. It was a comfortable outfit for orchestra.

Sending you hugs!

xx

TARDIS Tuesday - Spots for Rosa

I'm clearly having a Yasmin Khan month for TARDIS Tuesday as my past 3 TT outfits are hers. My main justification- she wears jumpers and trousers and the weather is GLACIAL!

Here's the main outfit worn by Yaz in brilliant story about Rosa Parks.  I last featured it in January 2022, so it's 3 years since it featured it which is quite a long time! This is the first Yaz Khan SA item I ever IDed- as I knew it looked like a White Stuff piece! I like the slightly quirky Spotty design!

Image borrowed from Express.co.uk

Here is my 2025 iteration...Can you spot the difference between 2022 and 2025???

2025:

2022:

The differences are my shoes and trousers!  No particular reason but they are different!  I wore my Seasalt black trousers and my Clarks Funny Dream trousers.

Hope all is well with you.

TARDIS Tuesday- the coat I'm going to be wearing under my coat all week!

Hello there!

I hope you are well!

This week, I am featuring an outfit I have worn twice here for TARDIS Tuesday, the last appearance being November 2022, I really like this outfit and it is practical for the weather!

It is worn by Yasmin Khan in Series 11.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06q81wy/p06qls32
https://www.blogtorwho.com/doctor-who-the-tsuranga-conundrum-what-we-learnt-about-the-companions/

It features a navy starry and moon-themed jumper from Maison Scotch, a Barbour (I think) red puffer jacket, blue fitted jeans, Burgundy Brogue chelsea boots from Dune.

Last time I put together this outfit, I wore a purple puffer coat, black trousers and navy trainers together with the same sweatshirt.

What happened this time?

The outfit features a red puffer jacket by Barbour (the Jurby), a sweatshirt by Maison Scotch, some burgundy flatform boots from Dune (Pacey) and some skinny blue jeans.

Occasion worn:  for church on Sunday. I woke up and discovered it was pouring with rain so I simply added my Seasalt Janome raincoat over the top to keep me dry. It was a good call as I was cosy in my down but dry!  Jeans are not the nicest garment to wear in the rain though. Apart from that, I was lovely and warm at church.  Also helps that I was sat with a radiator directly behind me. Not so good- near the door.  Good- lovely warm cup of tea.  Not good- I was 30mins late! Good- I still went.   Not good- poor friend Jenny fell into a pond on her way to church. I hope and pray she is ok!

Embarrassingly, after church, I cycled straight to the station to buy my train ticket and discovered the ticket office was shut. "Noooo!" I wailed outloud to the window  "Why are you closed??! Are you closed all day or is this just a temporary closure!"   At that moment, the roller blind was raised and there was a ticket sales operator.  Awkward to be caught talking to a window!!! Ah well, I got my ticket so I don't have to contend with all the returning to school/work ticket renewals tomorrow morning when trying to get up in the dark will be arduous enough! I am deeply thankful for this small win!

Am trying to use up some items in our cupboards to make sure we have room. This will include food or toiletries.   Trying to ensure we have fewer duplicate items if possible! If C could do this with honey or chutney, I would be grateful! Waaaaaaaaay too much chutney and honey and jams in the cupboard!

Today- used up 2 tiny jars of strawberry jams so these will clear a little space.  Will try to report on things as I use them up!

What do you think of this outfit? I've decided I am going to wear this down jacket under the raincoat all week- hopefully will keep me cosy during my cold commute!!!

TARDIS Tuesday- vaguely Christmassy?

Hello and a happy new year to you!
For TARDIS Tuesday, I thought it was time to start the Jumper cosplays!   These are mainly worn by Yaz Khan who is the only really practically dressed Who character (though her choice of coats/jackets could do with a little less leather) There's one I have worn 3 times and not photographed so I had to make a special effort to get this one snapped!
I last wore it here in December 2023.

It features an orange Mint Velvet jumper, an All Saints leather jacket, black skinny jeans and grey trainers.

Here's my Sunday morning version:

I like this starry jumper- it has some cashmere in it and is very cosy.  The usual Clara Oswald alt jacket makes its regular appearance.  This time, I am wearing my black, baggier Seasalt trousers- they are very comfy.  Finally, I wore my Clarks Funny Dream grey shoes.  They are comfy and I liked the way the red laces ALMOST match my jumper!  The outfit is one that would work for school and indeed, I have worn it quite a few times for school.

I hope your new year goes well! I HOPE I don't go to bed too late like I usually do- it throws out of my sleep pattern for days! Grateful we don't go back to school till the 6th!xx

TARDIS Tuesday- Yasmin Khan and her unidentified critters!

Hi there!

I had a break from TARDIS Tuesday last week but I am back with something SEMI new!. I Last featured this outfit on the blog in November 2022.  It was worn by Yasmin Khan in Revolution of the Daleks for a short while.  FINALLY, she got out of her leather jackets and got into Corduroy... for about 10 seconds....grrr!!! It is one of those outfits where I IDed one of the garments myself- the lovely G Star Deline corduroy jacket but the actual shirt ID eluded me.

Fast forward to last week and my Insta Yaz fan friend Rebecca had managed to ID the blouse! I am pleased because I actually helped her with this.  I shared these screen shots and zoomed in on some to point out some smaller details and other colours and she did some work on lightening and adjusting the colours AND all of a sudden, she noticed there were not just flowers but creatures!  Knowing Yaz had a couple of Oasis blouses, she searched for Oasis AND FOUND THE BLOUSE!!! And once you saw her blouse, you could IMMEDIATELY spot the unicorns!!!!

And then we had lift-off!!!!
She shared a link to one or two on Vinted but I found myself one for £3 only and it arrived on Sunday to be picked up from the very useful INpost lockers.  I love these!  It's always exciting to
a) try and guess which door will open
b) try and complete the transaction in as short a time as possible as it tells you how long it took you. My current record is 18.2 seconds but I'm definitely up for decreasing this!

I wore my blouse for school today (Tuesday) but by posting time, it's already past midnight!

Here's my take on the outfit.
I'm wearing my G star jacket and Oasis shirt but I wore more school appropriate black trousers rather than blue jeans and added a pair of Yaz Dune boots. We don't see what she wore with this outfit but I'm betting it was boots!
I look fatigued and old but still smiling! Wore my Avon Lacey initial letters in place of Yaz's more expensive Alex Monroe ones. I'd love to own the actual Alex Monroe floral initial ones, they are SOOOO pretty but so expensive!

I thought I'd share some details of the pretty shirt. It's viscose but feels nice to wear.

Here's how I styled it when I got home work! Let my hair down and added my black furry gilet plus my crocheted slippers! IN TARDIS Blue of course!

Hope all is well with you! My day was quite successful! The year 3 classes had actually practised Jingle Bells at home and many were able to successfully perform it in the class. Singing Assembly went well learning You shall go out with joy, our trademark end of Carol concert song.  Year 2 and 1 were quite successful.  The usually difficult year 1 class LOVED recapping In and Out the Dusty Blue Bells and even more loved the new game, Here comes Barnaby  and came up with some very inventive ways of parading down the aisle of clapping children! Year 3-4 Choir went well as they finished learning my new Christmas song and seemed to like it- PHEW! Hoping you will get to hear it just before Christmas!
Can you guess what the title of it is?

xx

TARDIS Tuesday- Yaz Khan outfit no.1 from Resolution

For TARDIS Tuesday, I thought I'd share an outfit I thought I'd shared back in February or January. I didn't realise I hadn't!

A nice girl called Rachel Millar contacted me on Insta to ask about the ID of a blouse I had found for Yaz Khan and asked me if I would like to know some of her IDs. I naturally accepted and she told me about this blouse which featured in Resolution, Jodie Whittaker's Doctor's first New year special.

I wore it for the first time in Jan or Feb and naturally thought I'd posted a picture. But I can't find one! So apparently I didn't!

Fast forward to Sunday and another insta friend posted her ID of this blouse and I said I knew it and I'd worn it! But couldn't find it!

So I thought I would! Sadly, having just had my hair cut, my hair is not very Yaz Khan friendly.

The outfit features a navy floral and bird print blouse from The Kooples plus one of her standard All Saints jackets plus black jeans and her Dune Pacey boots.

I must admit, I didn't spend much time putting this together on Sunday so I didn't check whether to tuck my shirt in or not and decided it was silly to wear a jacket.

I wore my pink Peri top from last week underneath and put on the Kooples blouse which I think I bought for mere pounds. It's stretchy material it's pulling a bit over my pear-shaped hips!
I wore NOT my usual black trousers (which have a hole from my bike fall. Ang, I did find them but not got around to sending yet.) but some charity-shopped ones which are loser plus my Pacey boots.

Monday was fun at school. I taught my year 5's about dissonance in music (we listened to various music including The Rite of Spring, the theme music from Psycho and two pieces called From the diary of a fly  and  Night music by Bartok.   Several of the year 6's turned up in my room at play AND lunchtime AND in the afternoon and some of the year 5's were there for 30mins to compose a song for a teacher who is leaving (my fellow treasure island director). I then sorted stuff but got very little done so tomorrow (and Wednesday) will be busy!
Hope you are well!

TARDIS Thursday- Village of the Angels Yaz

Hi there,

Greetings from Lurgy-ville! I started to feel a bit unwell on Sunday night and now I have a fully blown cold.  Yesterday, I took 18 children from my Year 4 recorder club to perform in our local borough's annual recorder festival.  It was the first one since 2019 and is a festival I have been taking part in since about 1988! We had a lovely time (although had to wait 30mins for the last parent to collect their child!)   It was sad that only 3 schools (plus the music school) accepted the invitation to take part.  In past years, there have been dozens of schools. I wondered why? Is the recorder not being taught so much (wretched Ukelele)? Was it too last minute? I do hope that it will develop again more next year.

My children were really proud of themselves and really excited but nervous to do their first performance with other schools.  When I look at the children I took (one last minute was not able to come), I laugh at some of the children I have who used to be really difficult in Year 1 and who are now proudly playing the recorder and turning up to a lunchtime club voluntarily on a weekly basis! I am so glad to offer them this opportunity! The audience was very warm and receptive and appreciative and the parents were really excited to see their children perform.

For TARDIS Tuesday today, I am featuring Yasmin Khan again- 13th Doctor companion.

It comes from Series 13 episode, Village of the Angels.  This was a creepy but brilliant episode with tension in bags!

She wears a navy silky floral shirt from All Saints (The Adeliza Spirit shirt) plus a brown fur coat from Zara (and NOT her usual leather jacket!) plus black buttoned down jeans, tan belt and Dr Martens Leonore chelsea boots. She wears a bright red top underneath and her  Y and Z initial necklaces.

https://tellyvisions.org/article/doctor-who-flux-episode-4-recap-village-angels

Here's my version:

Not sure what is going on with my camera but it was very washed out!

With the exception of my All Saints blouse (which has a lovely jacquard fabric with nice big loose sleeves), the rest of the outfit is all other items I own anyway (the usual ASOS trousers, brown boots plus my G Star Deline coat from another Yaz outfit. I forgot to don my tan belt!

This was a good school outfit on a Spring day.

I hope all is well with you!

TARDIS Tuesday Yaz Khan from the series 11 promo

Hello there!

It's been 3.5 years since I shared this cosplay inspiration on the blog! I've worn the items in many other outfits and together but it's the first time I've posted it for a while. Last worn here.

The inspiration is the outfit worn by Yasmin Khan in her introduction images as companion to the 13th Doctor

Image borrowed from
https://pocketmags.com/doctor-who-magazine/528/articles/412905/mandip-gill-is-yasmin-khan

She wears a starry navy sweatshirt from Maison Scotch, black trousers, a denim jacket, black and pink socks and space buns in her hair!

And here's moi!

I wore this outfit for church on Sunday though ended up wearing my raincoat to cycle in as it was mizzling again.
I was playing for two services again and leading the songs/worship from the piano. It was lovely particularly in the 2nd church as there were 3 of us in the band and the lovely lady who was singing with me and I sang various harmonies with each other and the drummer really fitted well with us. I'm still finding my feet leading a worship band but apart from one moment, we were really as one.
After the service, I cycled home, even the 2.2 cycle feels easier after doing it for a few weeks.
I felt very hungry so popped into Londis to buy some bacon (sorry veggies) and made a delicious bacon baguette for brunch.  Managed to also get the majority of the cleaning, tidying, washing done when I got home. CBC had a delayed flight so didn't get back till the middle of the night so I ironed his shirts ready for the week. No, I don't usually do that since he wears them so he irons them but I do do them sometimes when I think he's stressed or busy or away.

I wore my trusty ASOS black trousers, probably my most worn item on this blog and added my Maison Scotch sweatshirt. I like it, it's cute and comfy and relatively smart...for a sweatshirt.
I actually wore a denim jacket this time as I had a charity shopped one bought a couple of years ago.

Couldn't resist recreating the photo since my sofa and cushion are a good match! My hair was in desperate need of a wash in this photo. I usually wash it on Saturday morning but I was doing cleaning so I waited and then I woke too late to do on Sunday morning and then spent too long cleaning to have time to do it.

CBC told me I was mad to do so much cleaning but I'm fed up of the house being dirty and feeling like a pig sty so it felt good to get it done. I was watching Jon Pertwee's Doctor Who whilst I did various cleaning jobs and/or listening to vocal recordings in prep for an upcoming recording  we are doing next weekend of my A'level Music teacher's Christmas cantatas.

Notice, the serendipitous socks I chose to wear- oh look, they match hers!!! Good thing you can't see the large hole in the heel!  Maybe this pair had better make their way to school to join the myriad socks I gave to the lunchtime provision staff to use for some sort of sock puppet craft! Oh yes, I will find a use for anything I can!

Hope all is well with you!

xx
