TARDIS Tuesday -Spyfall Mustard

Hello there!

Ooof, I am tired!  It's all my own fault.  I have been putting off getting my report grades done for 2 weeks. I should have done it over Half term but I didn't.  The teachers have to submit their reports on Thursday completed so I really did need to send them my music Effort and Attainment grades before that so I finally completed them and sent them off at precisely 2.37am this morning after working on them (as well as doing some previous marking as extra evidence since about 6pm! I was in bed by about 3am.

I felt decidedly groggy at 7.15 this morning when I finally dragged myself out of bed after numerous alarms!  Luckily, the day was actually quite good in terms of lessons and drumming club except for the wretched hall computer. It is a complete diva.  Any time there is some sort of public event (or, to be fair, quite frequently in assemblies) it decides to have a hissy fit and not work.  Sometimes, it might be the screen will refuse to turn on. Or the image won't show up.  Or the sound system wont work. Or the sound system will play really quietly through the projector on the ceiling but not through the speakers around the hall.  This morning, it decided to refuse to turn on the actual screen image and then the sound system decided to mimic a hurricane the moment you turned it on. I had a strop at it and then all the children were there for singing assembly waiting for something, anything to turn on or to hush up!  I ended up teaching them a different song by heart and the ICT lead managed to get the screen working by the END of singing assembly. I was slightly stressed about it because tomorrow, my school is hosting the local round of the Primary Choir of the Year Competition and 2 of the schools are using backing tracks. It would be absolutely typical and extremely awful and embarrassing if it didn't work!!!

Anyway, I enjoyed my day.  The Year 4 children did really well at exploring pentatonic scales and learning about sharps and flats and playing in octaves.

Onto TARDIS Tuesday.

It is an outfit which has featured twice on TARDIS Tuesday and the last time apparently I featured it was March 2022. REALLY?  I am sure I had featured it since then but perhaps I wore it and didn't photograph it?

It was worn in Series 12 opening episode, Spyfall:

Image borrowed from
The Ultimate Guide to the Fashion of Doctor Who

Yaz wears her ubiquitous All Saints jacket, in black this time, a sheer mustard blouse with acorn print from French Connection, some light blue skinny jeans, grey trainers and a black camisole underneath.

Here is my 2026 iteration and I think, my closest, best one so far though I think I do prefer it with black trousers.

Sheila recently talked about the annoyance of vegan leather starting to flake off the neck or shoulders of one of her jackets.  My very cheap £2.50 charity shop H&M jacket is doing the same which is really annoying.  Still, the front looks ok.   I have £2.50 blue jeans bought from the same charity shop which are a good match for Yaz's and CBC's abandoned Tu trainers work as a great substitute for Yaz's.

The acorn blouse is just the same as my previous outfit.
I'm pleased with the match but I think I might try to wear this blouse under a dress next time.

Wish me and my choir luck for the Primary Choir of the Year competition. We got to the final last time and it would be lovely to get there again this time but who knows if we will be good enough!  I was very pleased with their practice on Friday, they had really worked on the harmonies in one song and the actions and storytelling in the other one!

Hope all is well with you!

TARDIS Tuesday- Yaz Khan from Can you Hear Me?

Today, we are starting back to my main orchestra, Kensington Chamber Orchestra.  I'm looking forward to it but not the very late night! I don't get home until around 23.45!
This week is a bit busy with 2 rehearsals, watching Frozen at CBC's school then I have two performances. Balinese Gamelan at Battersea Arts centre in London on Friday and an orchestra concert on SAturday.
Anyway, for TARDIS this week, I have  pretty niche outfit. It's worn by Yaz Khan in Can You Hear Me? in a brief scene where she has a flashback to where she ran away from home.
She wears a grey tiger print hoodie, blue jeans and lilac trainers.
https://custardcreamsandstripysocks.home.blog/2022/08/07/yazs-costume-in-every-episode-series-12/

I am not super into animal print but I really like this hoodie. I have seen it over the years but never bought it as I didn't want to pay much for it if I did. The RRP is £135.
Anyway, as you can see, I did find it:

I saw it on Vinted for £5. I made a cheeky offer of £4 as it had apparently been on there for a while and it was accepted.  It's quite cropped which I really like.  I didn't bother to make the rest of the outfit accurate as I didn't have time to look at photos. I thought it might be blue jeans and trainers but I just decided to throw these black trousers and boots on. It was a comfortable outfit for orchestra.

Sending you hugs!

xx

TARDIS Tuesday- Yasmin Khan and her unidentified critters!

Hi there!

I had a break from TARDIS Tuesday last week but I am back with something SEMI new!. I Last featured this outfit on the blog in November 2022.  It was worn by Yasmin Khan in Revolution of the Daleks for a short while.  FINALLY, she got out of her leather jackets and got into Corduroy... for about 10 seconds....grrr!!! It is one of those outfits where I IDed one of the garments myself- the lovely G Star Deline corduroy jacket but the actual shirt ID eluded me.

Fast forward to last week and my Insta Yaz fan friend Rebecca had managed to ID the blouse! I am pleased because I actually helped her with this.  I shared these screen shots and zoomed in on some to point out some smaller details and other colours and she did some work on lightening and adjusting the colours AND all of a sudden, she noticed there were not just flowers but creatures!  Knowing Yaz had a couple of Oasis blouses, she searched for Oasis AND FOUND THE BLOUSE!!! And once you saw her blouse, you could IMMEDIATELY spot the unicorns!!!!

And then we had lift-off!!!!
She shared a link to one or two on Vinted but I found myself one for £3 only and it arrived on Sunday to be picked up from the very useful INpost lockers.  I love these!  It's always exciting to
a) try and guess which door will open
b) try and complete the transaction in as short a time as possible as it tells you how long it took you. My current record is 18.2 seconds but I'm definitely up for decreasing this!

I wore my blouse for school today (Tuesday) but by posting time, it's already past midnight!

Here's my take on the outfit.
I'm wearing my G star jacket and Oasis shirt but I wore more school appropriate black trousers rather than blue jeans and added a pair of Yaz Dune boots. We don't see what she wore with this outfit but I'm betting it was boots!
I look fatigued and old but still smiling! Wore my Avon Lacey initial letters in place of Yaz's more expensive Alex Monroe ones. I'd love to own the actual Alex Monroe floral initial ones, they are SOOOO pretty but so expensive!

I thought I'd share some details of the pretty shirt. It's viscose but feels nice to wear.

Here's how I styled it when I got home work! Let my hair down and added my black furry gilet plus my crocheted slippers! IN TARDIS Blue of course!

Hope all is well with you! My day was quite successful! The year 3 classes had actually practised Jingle Bells at home and many were able to successfully perform it in the class. Singing Assembly went well learning You shall go out with joy, our trademark end of Carol concert song.  Year 2 and 1 were quite successful.  The usually difficult year 1 class LOVED recapping In and Out the Dusty Blue Bells and even more loved the new game, Here comes Barnaby  and came up with some very inventive ways of parading down the aisle of clapping children! Year 3-4 Choir went well as they finished learning my new Christmas song and seemed to like it- PHEW! Hoping you will get to hear it just before Christmas!
Can you guess what the title of it is?

TARDIS Tuesday- Yaz Khan from Ascension of the Daleks

Hi there,

Hope you are well!

Oof, I feel very tired!  The Autumn-darkness is starting to get its claws into me and making me feel very fatigued and hard to get up!

However, I'm surviving!

For TARDIS Tuesday, I am making a revisit to a Yasmin Khan outfit from a recent series of Doctor Who, series 12, episode- Ascension of the Daleks, an outfit I last interpreted in February 2022

https://thirteenstardisfam.tumblr.com/post/190988362072

There aren't great pictures available of the outfit but I did find this Gif which was quite clear!

She wears the All Saints Balfern jacket in a red colour, an All Saints floral blouse, white vest top, black trousers and brown boots.

I wore this for school today.  I always thought it was a shame that Yaz's pretty blouses get permanently hidden under her leather All Saints jackets. I like this pretty All Saints floral blouse and very grateful that my friend Ana IDed it and sold me her spare at cost.  It's quite weird because, it was probably made in another country, sold in England, resold second hand to Ana in Russia at cost.  She then sent it back to me in England. Subsequently, I sold her one of my Yaz jumpers. I bought it in the UK, I shipped it to the US for her, it then got sent to her mum in Russia and then her mum will take it to Argentina (where she emigrated to her before the war) if she can visit her at some point. These Yaz clothes are well-travelled.

I wore it with my Clara brown jacket and a very old white vest top and my ubiquitous black ASOS trousers.

Actually, this was quite a good outfit to wear for this current weather with a light jacket. It felt light but I felt covered but breezy! A couple of compliments from children and staff.

Today was a day of Year 5 classes performing rhythm work. I am going to try and spend more time perfecting performances this year, give them a chance to reflect on their work and improve it.

I have two Gamelan rehearsals this week as we have a gig at Westminster hall next week for Indonesia day!

Hope you are well!

TARDIS Tuesday- the obscure Yaz outfit from Revolution of the Daleks

This week for TARDIS Tuesday, I am going a little niche and obscure! Jodie's era is over but I'm not done with trying to recreate outfits from her companion Yaz (who, random fact here, is the only companion in Doctor Who history to remain with her Doctor throughout the Doctor's whole era).

I featured Yaz's main outfit from Revolution of the Daleks in December 2020 and revisited it in May 2022 but, when the episode aired, it was a little seen outfit that she wore right at the start of the episode that really caught my eye and heart.

Here are my screen grabs of it:

It's the corduroy coat that did it. I LOVE corduroy. I can't tell you why but I have always loved it. My Mum used to tell me about a beautiful pair of petrol-blue Levi cords she used to wear in the 70's which sounded wonderful to me.  In the 90's my viola-friend Chrissie acquired a pair of pale blue Levi cords from her sister. We used to share them in the viola section. Me, Maz and her used to wear these cords. I bought a pair of Bottle green cords from Laura Ashley from the charity shop which I owned until recently but they just got a little too tight.

The coat is navy blue corduroy with a shearling collar and buttons.  She wears it with a black floral shirt with little white flowers and either brown or green foliage. She wears blue jeans and her floral Y & Z necklaces from Alex Monroe.
Back to the corduroy coat. I really liked it and I did a little search on eBay for a navy corduroy coat and by accident, managed to find the Screen accurate coat.  I knew it was the exact one because of the features but also, when I rewatched the scene above, I saw the tiny metal G of the G star reflecting for a split second in the screen. (Later on, I found out that G star items have been worn by Doctor Who characters before)
To my knowledge, no one else has identified the coat so this is its first outing as the identified coat!
The coat is called the G Star Deline coat in navy corduroy. Its retail price was £220!!!! I saw one on eBay in XS for £12.  I didn't buy it at the time as I wasn't sure whether XS would fit me and I am glad I didn't because I managed to find a S version for around £17 later on which fits well.

Here's my coat. It is quilted on the inside and is really cosy and comfortable. It became my favourite Spring coat when I acquired it earlier this year before it had to go away for late Spring and Summer.

I managed to find a H&M black floral shirt that did as good a job as any for the shirt and it has become a staple in my Autumn work wardrobe
I don't have blue jeans that are that colour but I wore the outfit with these indigo denim trousers from ASOS instead.
I added my Screen accurate Dune Pacey boots (which Yaz wears in her first series. I don't know what she wore in this scene.
When I first put together this outfit (last Saturday), I first wore my handmade Y & Z necklaces (made out of silver mirrored card) but to actually go out (we went to the theatre and saw Sweeney Todd at the Palace theatre in Southend), I wore my alternative necklace- my K & Z necklaces for Kez rather than Yaz! They are the best, cheapest alternative to her real Alex Monroe necklaces which retail at £95 each in silver) and are the Avon Lacey necklaces. I am rather fond of them!
A small detail is the silver crystal studs.  They were a Christmas present back in 2005 from my Stepdad's daughter in law!
I wore my hair up in a bun this day and it miraculously stayed up ALL DAY! Twas a miracle!

This is an outfit I like very much. Comfortable and cosy & very easy to wear for work with different trousers!

What do you think?

TARDIS Tuesday- Spyfall!

This week for TARDIS Tuesday, I decided to revisit a cosplay (last seen in May 2020) which was begging to make use of my parched garden as a backdrop since the original was set in South Africa!

It was an outfit worn for the party of a millionaire in a very James Bond episode. As you can see, all the characters donned their own version of James Bond's suave outfit.  I'm focusing on Yaz's one on the left:

https://theultimateguidetothefashionofdoctorwho.wordpress.com/2020/01/12/yasmin-khan-spyfall-pt-1-and-2-bow-necklace/

She wears:

  • Sequin jacket with satin lapels and tie by Paul Smith
  • Reiss white scallop neck top (IDed by me!!!!!!!!!!)
  • Tiffany Bow necklace
  • Black trousers
  • Black boots

The first item I started with was the sequin jacket.  The real one is very expensive and it's an item that I am unlikely to search for as the one I've got is just as good! My one was from New Look and I found it on eBay for around £5-9 (can't remember what exactly!)

My blazer had no tie but I still have the black silky dressing gown cord from my teenage dressing gown which worked well!

The top was relatively easy to identify. I looked for a white scalloped top on eBay and found the screen accurate one as the scallop lace detail about the neckline is quite distinctive.  It's quite a glamorous top and originally cost £125 originally- mine had the original price tags on. So. Much. Money.

That's the only parts of this outfit that were bought especially for the cosplay (and will be good concert items).  The black trousers are those ubiquitous Asos ones that get worn for any skinny jeans or black trousers that are needed and the boots are Clarks Mens desert boots.
I thought I'd make an honourable mention for the necklace. I am wearing a silver cross necklace from Edith May jewellery (made by my friend Annie).  It's not a bow but it has a similar sort of formation and shape. I actually own a Tiffany Cross which in retrospect, I could have worn but I like this one very much!

It was very hot wearing this jacket out in the sunshine but I survived! I ended up keeping my hair like this all day as it felt cool and also makes me feel like a squirrel when I have my ponytail all busy and bouncy!

Would you wear this outfit?  How would you change it to make it more you?!

TARDIS Tuesday- Revolution of the Daleks- Yasmin Khan's outfit

Hello there!

I'm almost at the end of my manic 2 weeks- just tomorrow night's Gamelan performance at my old Alma Mater to do and then I have no other engagements for a little while.

This week for TARDIS Tuesday, I thought I'd return to an outfit I featured back in December 2020 by current companion, Yasmin Khan. It seemed a good outfit for the curious weather we are having at the moment.

It features a red animal print tie-hem blouse from Miss Selfridge, indigo jeans, a black leather jacket with lapels and Y and Z floral initials from Alex Monroe.

I decided that I would wear this outfit for school (with slight alterations) today.

I started with the same blouse. I really like the colour of it and the pattern is quite cheerful.  Although it's animal print, it's quite abstract.  It was a comfortable piece to wear.  I wore a coloured vest top underneath.

Rather than jeans, which are not in our dress code, I wore black trousers along with my Dune boots from another Yaz outfit.  My 'leather' jacket was £3 from my local charity shop a while back- I didn't wear this one last time I wore this outfit.

I can see that I've caught the colour in my face here.   The final part of my outfit was my floral necklaces.  Last time I wore this outfit, I actually wore homemade necklaces made out of silver card to emulate Yaz's Y and Z necklaces but I found these cute initial necklaces from Avon on eBay and thought they were really pretty so I chose a K and Z for Kezzie!  A work colleague complimented me on my outfit.

The day was a mixed bag.  I had a good morning with Year 1 listening to and comparing Vivaldi's 1st movement from Spring from the Four Seasons and Christian Sinding's Rustles of Spring. The afternoon with Year 2 was horrendous- wet playtime with a thunderstorm was not conducive to children who listen. I really hate teaching in the hall classrooms.

My weekend was lovely.  After an extensive tidying and cleaning session on Friday night and Saturday morning, I headed on the train to the town where my concert was. I got there early so had a look round the shops. I ended up buying some products in the Refill shop and ended up with a few items from the charity shops including a brand new children's book that was on my wishlist! What are the odds of the book I wanted, that was only published last year, being there?!

The rehearsal went well and then I met my work friend T for dinner at the Thai restaurant. To my delight, CBC was home early from DoE expedition so he came to watch the concert on the train.  I had 8 people in the audience who came to see me including him and T!  The concert was lovely and went really well.  Dvorak's New World Symphony, Grieg's Peer Gynt suites and Strauss' Overture to Die Fledermaus. Afterwards, we stayed to chat whilst CBC and T had a beer (they get a keg to sell to the audience!  Then CBC, T and I walked to the station and went home. T was staying at ours. The next morning, CBC headed off cycling and after breakfast, T and I set off on a 10 mile walk. It was really nice to have her company!

Yesterday, after work, I went to the first rehearsal of an East London orchestra who are super good! They were one of my last concerts before lockdown in 2020 and are such a high standard.  I thought it was going to be a pain to get to and from the rehearsal venue but it was SO easy from school. 4 stops on the train and a really pleasant cycle to and from the station with a lovely cycle lane and what seemed a nice road.

Hope all is well with you!

TARDIS Thursday - Yaz Khan in Spyfall

Hola Amigos!

Tuesday night, I was way too tired to post after orchestra and Blogger was not playing ball so this is TARDIS Thursday instead.

A couple of nice things to comment on from the week so far:

  • A parent who can be quite critical of the school told me yesterday that her son is doing really well at music in Secondary school and she said thank you to me for my input to him at primary school and said it had made a real difference and she was really glad she'd pursued music lessons. I was touched and amazed as was my Headteacher who was incredulous that she had actually given us a compliment!
  • A message from a parent today asking if I could send her the lyrics to Loch Lomond (which we are learning in Singing Assembly) as her daughter really wanted to practice it at home.
  • Went to play my flute for a tiny choir last night (I am playing for their concert on Saturday).  I had to sit around for about 2 hours and play for about 15minutes but the group was so lovely and wholesome- they were quite an old demographic and I always feel happy when I am in a group of older folks and it was really comforting to see the love and respect they have for each other in this group.  The conductor is 82 and he and his wife (who sings lead Soprano) are celebrating their 50th Wedding anniversary next week.
  • Had an orchestra rehearsal on Tuesday and had to hang around for an hour before it.  I suddenly had the bright idea to go and have my dinner in Wetherspoons.  It meant I had a proper meal and was able to sit comfortably to eat it without the embarassment of sitting on my own in a restaurant, Spoons being a bit more informal.
  • My year 1 kids really enjoyed Peter and the Wolf this week.  By the time I taught the 3rd class, I honed what I was doing with them to work better for them.
  • Year 2 children really got into their lesson on Bird song this week.  Even difficult kids were really super enthusiastic about it and participated well.
  • Year 6 class beginning learning about Beethoven's 5th symphony-super excited by how many Beethoven pieces they knew already and really enthused to learn a version of his symphony! There are often children who can be a bit awkward in there but they didn't show that side at all!

Let's have a look at the outfit:

Last time I used this outfit as inspiration was December 2020

Yasmin Khan wears a mustard chiffon blouse with ruffles and an acorn print.  She accompanies it with her ubiquitous All Saints Leather jacket (black this time) and blue jeans with grey trainers.  Her hair is in a  high plait which is pinned to her head.

Here's my 2022 version:

I wore the same Acorn blouse as Yaz, it's from French Connection- for some reason, my one seems to look longer than hers and I would prefer to tuck it in.  This time, I had a better match for Yaz's All Saints jacket.  Last time I wore a fake leather jacket without lapels (£2 from the Charity shop) but this time, this fake leather jacket (£3 from the charity shop) is a much better match.
I don't have light blue jeans so I just wore some slightly cropped indigo jeans from ASOS (a rare brand new buy).  To be honest, they don't really work with this outfit, nor do my choice of boots- should have worn trainers!

What would you do to improve this outfit?

Hope you are having a good week!

TARDIS Tuesday- A second go at Yaz Khan's outfit from Ascension of the Cybermen

 dfddfd

Today's outfit is one I fairly recently featured on the blog- around 10 months ago in April 2021.

It was worn by Yasmin Khan in the penultimate episode of Series 12 of Doctor Who, alongside Jodie Whittaker.  The frustrating thing about Yaz's outfits is she seems to firmly keep her ubiquitous leather jacket (literally only 4 occasions I can think of where she ISN'T wearing one!) on and you can't really see all the details of her jumpers and tops which makes them really hard to identify from a small gap between sides of the jacket.  Case in point, this top.  We could tell it was floral, sort of pinky, black and white in colour, had some sort of ruffle but beyond that, not much to go on.  What length sleeves? Was it sheer? What material? What exactly was that pattern? What exactly were the colours?  Last time I put togthis outfit, I wore a short-sleeved, wll almost sleeveless blous from Dorothy [erkins with had a triple layer of ruffles.

Anyway, recently, my instagram friend Anna, from Russia, posted a picture of her weaering THE blouse!  In her search for antoher Yaz blouse (which someone else managed to recently identify, IT having a slightly less ambiguous pattern and shape especially since promo trailers had her WITHOUT her wretched jacket on), she somehow found THIS blouse in her search as it was from the samebrand- the ridiculously over-priced All Saints (beloved of Clara AND Yaz for jackets as well as Amy AND River Song!).  She happened to have snagged two at a very reasonable price (not the RRP of £120) and offered to send me one.  And so here it is!

These photos were taken as Storm Franklin was building himself up- my hair was going everywhere!

The most interesting part of this outfit is of course the floral blouse- the rest of it is the standard boring Yaz accompaniments-

Leather jacket- check (usual Clara one which cost me £5)

Black jeans - check (usual ASOS black work trousers used for every Skinny jean reference ever in a cosplay outfit. There's no way I'm ever getting in skinny jeans)

Yaz's Dune Pacey flatform boots- check (in the alternate black colour from her burgundy ones)

And that's that!  A comfy outfit, good for a chilled day when you aren't doing too much running around or cycling!

First day back at school today was ok.  Nothing amazing but not the worst either.

You?

TARDIS Tuesday - Yaz in Can you Hear me

This week, I am repeating a TARDIS Tuesday outfit from last October but with a few upgrades (and in one case, a bit of a downgrade!)

The outfit in question is worn by Yasmin Khan in an episode called 'Can you hear me?' where we discover that Yaz was bullied as a teenager.

The outfit is really simple but the main attraction of this outfit is the beautiful ikat tied hem top she wears. With it, she wears blue jeans, a black leather jacket, a blue camisole underneath, grey trainers and her Alex Monroe Posy Loop necklace.

My own screenshots but the original images belong to the BBC.

https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2020-02-09/doctor-who-can-you-hear-me-questions/

https://theultimateguidetothefashionofdoctorwho.wordpress.com/2020/02/25/yasmin-khan-can-you-hear-me/

https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/sonya-khan

I wore a version of this last October where I disguised a dress as a top but this time, I decided to go for a different version.

This time, I am wearing an actual t-shirt. It is from Daniel Hechner but it cost me £1.00 from eBay! It's not ikat but it has a diamond pattern that works ok. Mine actually has a fringed hem but I hid that when I tied the hem. I wore a Primark vest top underneath.
I added my Alex Monroe Posy loop necklace which was my 40th birthday present

As recently, I've tried to copy some of the actor's poses.

You can see I have an improved leather jacket.  This was a £3 bargain from my local charity shop which I figured was worth a punt for a slightly more accurate look- the money goes to the Baptist church and charities it chooses.

I added my ubiquitous black trousers. I have bluer jeans but not skinny ones so black trousers it is.
Finally, I added CBC's navy sneakers rather than Yaz's grey Adidas trainers.

Couldn't resist trying to recreate the pose on the road with a badly added Police car! I hid my Tripod by our hedge and hoped my neighbours weren't looking out the window at me!

In retrospect, I actually prefer the appearance of my East dress rather than the t-shirt which is a lighter colour but it is nice to have an actual t-shirt for the look!

It's fun to have a go at recreating an outfit in different ways!

Hope you are well!

TARDIS Tuesday outfit - Yasmin Khan from Orphan 55

 Hi there!

Oopsie, I've been away for a while! Had a lovely half term holiday which I'll share some of soon, but thought I'd stick to regular scheduling with a bit of TARDIS Tuesday.

Today's outfit was worn by Yasmin Khan in an episode last year, Orphan 55.  I was very happy and lucky to have managed to ID the main piece in the costume and buy it at the time (and wear it here last January) but last time I wore it in the winter.  This time, I'm wearing it in the Summer.

Image borrowed from
https://www.doctor-who-ita.it/images/DW_1203_1920x1080.jpg

And here's mine.  I decided to have a bit of fun and mimic some of the poses in the promo shots this time.

I started with the Warehouse Tulip jumpsuit which was a really nice, cool, practical garment for a Summer's Day at school.  Given that I was prancing all over the music room today teaching the Year 6's Papageno's song from the Magic Flute, it was a good choice for leaping onto chairs and the suchlike.
I didn't wear my Clara leather jacket (always doubles for Yaz) for school but added it for the photos after school in the garden.   My trusty Dune Pacey wedge boots may be the wrong colour but they are the right shape.
If you look carefully, you will also see my Alex Monroe posy necklace which makes this outfit more screen accurate and is a nice delicate touch.

I'm so glad when it gets to the evening.  It was SUCH a glorious half term holiday, the May half term holiday is ALWAYS the best holiday and I have so many happy memories from trips taken at this time, throughout my whole life.

The eagle-eyed of you may notice I finally had my hair cut...but more on that another day.

Hope you are well and happy.

TARDIS Tuesday- Yaz Khan's outfit from Fugitive of the Judoon

TARDIS Tuesday today features current companion, Yaz Khan in THE best episode of Doctor Who series 12, Fugitive of the Judoon. It was such an exciting episode with so many big reveal moments!

Here's a collage of screenshots I've done of Yaz's outfit:

It features her ubiquitous leather jacket with lapels, indigo skinny jeans, her Dune brogue Chelsea boots and a leopard-skin chiffon blouse.  Her hair is done in 2 French plaits at the side.

Here's my version:

Everything in this outfit, except the blouse/shirt, have been worn before for various cosplay outfits, especially worn by Yaz- my Clara leather jacket, the same Dune boots but in an alternative black patent version.

My leopard print shirt was second hand from H&M- I don't know if it is screen accurate, but it looks pretty similar.

I'm not 100% sold on this blouse- it's a bit 'Pat Butcher' to me, it's the colours of it, but since it was only £3.00, I gave it a go.  I quite like the way this outfit looks even if it is not ubiquitous Kezzie! I think the jury is out on this one.

Hope you had a good day.

My Monday was a good one in terms of lessons- the children worked hard and enjoyed their lessons and I was quite touched when one of the Year 5 girls trusted me enough to come and ask me if I had some feminine care products she could use as she said her period was quite heavy. Luckily, I was able to oblige, as I had something in my cupboard just in case. Meeting after school was tiresome.
