Want to cry

I am so so so annoyed and upset with myself.  I just broke my lovely camera.  It was on its tripod and somehow, I don't know if one of the legs slipped on it or it swayed in the wind but it fell and hit a plant pot (if only it had been 2 feet to the right, I probably would have caught it) and now the lens is stuck out and it said 'lens error' and it shut itself down.  And the stupid thing is, I have no idea where to take it.  Because of course, nowadays, no one wants to mend anything, they want to sell you a new one, one of the things I despite about our society with technology. So please, anybody- do you have any idea where I could take it to be fixed.  It's a Canon Ixus high defnition.
