Words of wisdom on a cold and frosty morning...
If you do not have a ten-foot long stripy scarf at your disposal alla Tom Baker, as I am fortunate to be the proud owner, then I suggest commencing an experiment of wearing two scarfs to combat the ravenging icy-cold wastes of January. One can be cunningly worn to protect the lower neck and chest, and the other can be wrapped tightly over the lower half of one's face in a minute example of Egyptian-mummy chic, which protects those with a tendency for coldnoseitis. I tested the aforementioned hypothesis whilst travelling from house to station on this, the twenty-sixth day of January in the two-thousandth and sixth year of our Lord, and am pleased to reveal that it yielded the desired result.

Blessings and Ikea!
Oooh, this is a little late (haven't been on-line!), but I got a place at the Institute of Education to study Primary Education despite my awful interview!!!! Could not believe it. It is completely and utterly not me that got me there! Trouble is, I havent accepted my place yet and missed the 14-day deadline (GTTR was shut over Christmas and I hadn't done it before then, and the system's down today), so hopefully it will be ok! Thanks for your prayers!
I'm off to Ikea this afternoon (first trip ever!)to try and find a bed for my box-room. (Hopefully my bedless days are almost over!).
