I haven't done a crafty post on here for ages, but I thought I would.
Wanted a chic card in a hurry but no time and don't want to spend loads of resources?
No worries: look to the simple star and black card for a quick solution.
I have stacks of craft resources but I don't like to throw them all at one card. It's the inner-thrifter in me and a certain amount of environment conscience that says, "It might end up in the bin- don't make TOO much go in the bin."
It was a simple matter to begin with a central sentiment (using an outline sticker) then arrange the stars in a circle around it. Fill in the space with a silver gel men and Bob's your Uncle.
I used Poundland 3D double-sided sticky pads (I used an 6th of ONE sticky pad under each star) to stick the stars on because I like them to look a bit more 3d but this lot really only took me about 15 minutes in total. I'm always willing to make duplicate when I find a simple idea!
Oh and a great crafting tool is a corner rounder punch. Like a hole punch but it turns a sharp corner into a nice curvy one!!
Better still, you can put any greeting in the middle of the circle and they can go to any age!
Do you have any simple ideas you like to use frequently?

It looks great and it was easy to make, well done. xx
ReplyDeleteThose cards look great, really cheerful and happy!
ReplyDeleteMy anniversary card from Jon was made using the Felix cat food box and a red Sharpie from Poundland - at least it was posh cat food and not Lidl Value meat! xxx
Ooh, I like this! Must get me some stars.
ReplyDeleteThose cards look brilliant Kezzie. In one of my crafty moments, I once made a birthday card featuring buttons. xxx
ReplyDeleteCool! Simple ideas are the best. They look effortlessly elegant.
ReplyDeleteLove the silver pen touch to round it off!

I actually do have an Uncle Bob. And he is a star in the HVAC game. So I felt personally attached to this post.
ReplyDeleteI like the last one best, something pleasing to the round shape.
