What is it? #39


Julia reminded me about the dearth of 'What is it?' posts around here!  I find it really hard to spot interesting clouds in the winter due to really not being outside much during the daylit hours and the limited sunshine offers less shadows and contrasts to cloudscapes.

However, I looked through my summer photos and discovered one or two which were unposted so here's the first of these.

Here's your job:
Have a look at the picture of a cloud above. Examine its shape, colour, size, look around it. What might that cloud resemble apart from a cloud?  It could be animal, object, person or other!

Leave me a comment in the box below and say what you think it is. I'll then tell you what it made ME think of in the next 'What is it?' post whenever that may be! 
It's all fun, I know some people don't enjoy these because their imagination isn't inflamed by clouds, but have a go if you will!

We'll all have a laugh about it together!

It's a long time since the last cloud 'What is it?'

This cloud to me,looked exactly like a border collie dog curled up with snout facing to the right with his front paw stretched out.

What did the studio audience think?

  5. I see a turtle wearing sunglasses in the middle of the cloud. It's just his head. He must have been sleeping in there.

    I also have a cold and spent all of yesterday sneezing. It seems to be dying down a bit today.

  9. Okay, I read the first comment by Shamu Boo and that tainted my imagination, not in a bad way, but now that's all I see - that old man. Haha!

  10. I see a reptile with tiny glasses who is reading a story to somebody...it is a nice kind of reptile, he looks old and kind, like a grandfather reptile or something.

    p.s. so fun to read that most of us saw an eagle the first time...human imagination is an interesting thing.
So, many people saw the old man lying down which I can see if I look at it - yes, he has his nose sticking up and there's definitely a sort of Turtle mound with a little head poking to the left!!! Good show !!!

I thought it had a look of a very rudimentary animal glove puppet, like a Whippet dog or something with a long snout!

  7. What a beautiful walk. Those pictures reminds me of beautiful paintings I've seen at the Art Museum.

    That branch definitely resemble a giraffe.

  15. I am thinking greyhound dog for the whatzit. I thought the lights in the ice house were the subject of the game. I see very much in there. I chuckled when I read you also have to shoot and sprint. My GF just keeps on walking when I stop to take pictures so I am forever double timing it up the path to catch up.

ooh, I definitely think everyone's ideas are there! When I said a dog, it resembled many pointy-nosed animals so we are definitely in accord. Resident misbehaving boy Shamu in What is it? postseven was in the same species as me!

    Aww, thanks Kezzie. You're a dear... Wow, that's a different cloud... I see a rather hefty lady with her hair tied in a bun on her head. She is bending down with her hand on her right hip and her butts in the air sweetly talking to the kitties around her. Ridiculous but that's what I see.

    Oh yay! I'm so glad to see this is back Kezzie! I can see an erupting volcano - quite a flat topped crater on this one, but I can definitely see some plumes of smoke! - Tasha

    It's a cartoon lady in a long dress. She is bending over to the right, peering at something. She has a huuuge nose and you can see a fairly detailed eye just to the left of it. She has her hands folded behind her back. Maybe.

    all is see is a monster in a shape of a mushroom, I can see its mouth but the rest looks like a mushroom to me:)
