Kezzie, your emotions are running high for good reasons. Having to move because you have to is not the same as a planned move. There's little time to get ready and it right in the school term. I hope your family and friends can be there to help you.
ReplyDeleteThe unknown is scary for everyone so it's normal that you feel a little frazzled. So many new things to get used to and still your lessons to prepare.
Wishing you good luck in the move. Hugs,
JB
There is no such thing as too many marshmallows, fact.
ReplyDeleteOn a more serious note, hang in there lovely. What a nightmare time for you but you'll come out of it stronger on the other side. Everything happens for a reason and this might just be the start of something new and wonderful xx
On the subject of prisms and marshmallows, first, eat as many marshmallows as you like. They are 99% air. On the other hand, do not eat any prisms. No matter what anyone tells you it will not make you poop rainbows. Happy Monday Ms. Blog of the Year

Moving is stressful. Moving in January/February is particularly stressful. I have done it twice in my life - and hope not to do it again! Accept ALL offers of help. If school life is so busy you do not have time to sort properly, be utterly shameless about putting things into boxes, and then asking friends to hold onto a box or two till after you have moved, so you will have time to sort things properly. I know all the books say 'be ruthless, declutter quickly - but when your emotions are churned up already, such decisions are impossible. In one of our 'hurried' moves I threw away a folder of papers- and afterwards realised they were all the letters my parents sent me thru Uni - and now Mum and Dad are gone, I so wish I had kept at least a few of them. You're both in my thoughts and prayers xx
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I've missed something, but I'm guessing you've found somewhere new to live, at least - statement 8? Still, packing up and moving on after short notice is almost overwhelming, I know, as I've helped daughter no. 1 several times when she has been in the same situation and stored things for her. I'm sure your friends will do the same. I hope everything goes well at school during this stressful time. Sending my love and thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteWoah, rollercoaster.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about moving. Glad I don't have to do it again any time soon! I'm sure everything will work out fine in the end. Hang on in there xx
Ahhh best of luck in the move! Moving is a head ache but it'll feel great once you're in your new place I'm sure :D
ReplyDeleteYour dinner sounds soooo good, you've made me hungry and motivated me to get out of bed! :P
I hope your week all goes well :D <3 xxx
I'm glad you've got somewhere to move to - that must be a relief.
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well for you.
I'm happy for you, finding a new place can be stressful. Love the way you've posted today, it's fab. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteMoving is so stressful, try to hang in there...eating too many marshmallows might be a good idea, perhaps a bit of comfort food actually helps with the stress.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the blog of the year award!!!!
Glad to hear you've found somewhere to live!
ReplyDeleteOh I do hope every thing is sorted for your move soon. It'll all be fine, I'm certain of it, but it can be a rather unsettling time, especially when you weren't thinking of moving on. But yay for yummy food, friends, and being surrounded by books xx
ReplyDeleteMoving certainly can bring up a lot of emotions and makes it all feel like a rollercoaster. But as long as you accept that and can ride it a bit, you'll then start to feel in control and don't feel guilty about eating marshmallows!

Very relieved to hear you have found somewhere to live! Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy for the next few weeks! xxx
ReplyDeleteHang in there! Moving sucks, the process itself, but discovering a new place and be lots of fun, so try and stay focused on that. And don't throw everything away just because you don't want to carry it any more. I'm guilty of that. People will come to you rescue as well if when you need them to. Eat more marshmallows! and garlic chili prawns, not necessarily at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHang on, I'm a bit behind... You're moving? You have to but you don't want to? Oh that's tough - moving when you're looking forward to it is hard enough. BUT - it's just a stage, you'll do it, and when it's done, you can breath a big sigh of relief.
ReplyDeleteYour dinner sounds delicious, I want to see your Frank Usher frock, don't fret about the stuff (if stuff makes you happy, then keep it - if not, move it on) and sleep tight! xxxx
Blog followers have very little to do with the number of readers. I read heaps of blogs and have favourites that I check every day. But I don't follow any of them. Why? Because I am not a sheep. Apart from anything else the term follower is unacceptable to me. Anyway, you will have tons of readers who don't follow your blog! So if you lose a few 'followers' that doesn't account for all your new readers who just get on with the reading.

You make a good point. I'd not thought about the word follower, purely thinking of it as a word or reader but yes, it has undertones and associations that don't sit right. Yes, there are, I am sure, people that like to read but don't save the link. I find it harder to remember blogs I like without clicking the follower button! Thank you for your input.
DeleteMoving is full of so many emotions, this is going to be a tough time with the emotional and physical input needed, especially when the situation is something you have had thrust upon you.
ReplyDeleteI am in admiration of your ability to give away so many bracelets!

I moved house last May and was very worried about everything too ... but now I am happy of my new home ...
ReplyDelete... a hug!
Booo to the upheaval of moving! I loathe it and things always go missing :(
ReplyDeleteThank you for finding me - it meant I found you too!
ReplyDeleteI'm down to the last unread post ... and now it seems you have to move. I'm wondering why? Lease ran out? Tearing down the house? I'm sorry you have to move when you don't want to. I hope your new spot will suit and please you.
