We're after the same Rainbow's end

RAINBOWS!  What wonderful things they are! Such a joy to see them! They are the reward for enduring miserable weather and of course, feature in many stories- Noah's story, The Wizard of Oz, Tiktok of Oz, various folk tales.  What other ones can you name?

When I found this rainbow skirt in the Hexham Sue Ryder charity shop for £2.25, I was utterly enchanted. I did indeed feel like Joseph and his coat of many colours as I took it to pay for at the till! The pricing of items in that shop does confuse me sometimes! Some things are really overpriced and others, bargainous gems!

I decided to wear it for school on the first day of term with rainbow socks and my pencil brooch, plus my Tiger umbrella and so many staff members came and commented on it! I can never keep my mouth shut though- I gleefully overshared , "£2.25 from Sue Ryder!"
The pencil brooch, a present from the lovely Lily Fang at Imperfect Idealist and a crystal necklace reminiscent of the one I had as a child were the perfect finishers- in my not so impartial opinion!

And because umbrellas are fun to dance with- here I am!

Hugs and rainbows to you today!
xx

  1. What a fun girl you are. Everyone love a rainbow...I really was expecting you to dance with that umbrella, though...lol. I saw the umbrella spinning but... you didn't dance but it was a cute little video anyway.

  5. I'm a fan of DH Lawrence's The Rainbow!
That skirt is fabulous and what a great price, too! I don't understand the pricing structure of charity shops either, my unworn Topshop boots cost less than a mediocre headscarf....madness! xxx

  6. I'm in love with that umbrella - your skirt is really cute too. I can never keep my mouth shut when I get good charity shop bargains - I found a fabulous coral coloured Next coat, tag still on it, along with a pair of Red or Dead boots of the same colour in a charity shop in Scotland - they bring me so many lovely comments and I can never resist telling people - great bargain in a charity shop!!!!

  7. Aaah, you look stunning! I do love a rainbow.
There's a Cecelia Ahern book called "Where Rainbows End". It doesn't feature any actual rainbows though.

  15. That was cute doggie barking! :) But I must confess, I was hoping to hear your voice because I do love to hear a British accent. Cute skirt! Like you, I always tend to brag about finding lovely outfits at the local thrift. Often when people compliment my outfit, I can say, "It ALL came from the hospice thrift store!" My favorite store.

  16. That is one cheery skirt! And I love the umbrella too. Like others above I can't resist boasting about my finds. The best one was this summer - a lovely blue and white cotton top in Guildford for 2,99. I love it!

  23. haha, I do that too, I can't help but tell people if I've found a charity shop bargain. Pricing seems to be haphazard where ever you go, you wouldn't think it would be that difficult, but there you go. This skirt is a great find, and I adore that brolly!
