The paradoxical blogpost of pom poms

This is one of those paradoxical posts where I saw an idea, that someone saw, that someone saw- follow the chain to find out whose idea it was first, but I saw it on Char's blog! I had intended to make a necklace with 3 pom poms but then decided to go the full hog with this when I saw the idea! If you follow the links, you can see a great tutorial here at Bluebird vintage!

It is ridiculously warm and much of it was made on a car journey! CBC and his Mum both contributed a pom pom each!

Yes, I don't wear make up- not bothered frankly!
And since I had a few spare pompoms, I decided that my Clarks elasticated shoes needed some pompoms to perk them up (CHECK out the awful tights- Nora Batty wrinkles, bits of boot fluff from sheepskinboots stuck to them! Yes,it's glamorous over here!

I picked up some cute mustard wool in the charity shop, so I think some mustard pom poms are needed and I might put three pompoms (in differing colours) on each shoe for novelty factor! I love dressing eccentrically!

By the way, I am appalling at making pompoms the traditional way, so I invested in a pompom maker to support a local shop in Petworth when I was there!! It's great!!!

Pom poms, yay or nay?

Linking to Claire Justine with my crafty scarf and shoes!

  1. Oh, your pom pom necklace is so cute and creative! And I really like your color combination. I am very partial to handmade items. And with your new tool, you can make a lot of them :)

  2. Oh Kezzie, you are just too funny and daring. You have found some creative ways to wear those pompoms. Do they wear pompoms in Tardis? hehe.

  4. Jon and I spent Xmas Day making pom poms last year! I think that I posted a pom pom boa I'd made out of them, it's currently adorning Tina in the lounge as the cats got hold of it one night and ravaged the poor thing.
Yours are fab, perfect for livening up your boots. xxx

  5. I'm really hoping for a pom pom maker for Christmas, I find the cardboard method so time consuming. I love that necklace, which Alex made for me. Must wear it more often. I really like the look of the pom poms on your shoes, too.

  6. Love it and the addition to the shoes. I have a weird fascination/obsession with pom poms. It's like I don't want to like them, but I totally do!

Also, have no idea why you put make-up disclaimer; you are beautiful and look gorgeous without it. Make-up schmake-up xxx
