Cultural grey-out

IMG_6550

Sometimes, I sigh with despair when I look at pictures of me! But sometimes, I quite like them!! Despite the grey, I felt very visible, confident and happy about myself in this get up so I am linking with the lovely Patti at Visible Monday!  Forgive the overload of photos, I know they all look the same but I actually liked them despite the bush of hair!!!

A brief sojourn around Trafalgar square:  I have such affection for this place.  I have paddled in those fountains on several occasions and had water fights with random people. (in fact, in fountains in several major Europeon  cities!) Once, I had to sit through an entire church service at All Souls in damp clothes after stupidly getting wet!

The fourth plinth:  I am still gutted that the interactive organ which doubles as an ATM didn't win instead of this one- I voted for the latter!

Verse of the day:
"Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be men and women of courage, do everything in love,"
I will try again and again, though I feel I don't always manage to communicate that love.

I love your outfit, from the hat to the shoes to the umbrella! The black florals (which are gorgeous and seem to be everywhere right now) look wonderful with the tweed jacket and gray pullover. If had any clothes even slightly similar, I would do a copy cat of this one! Just a minute - I do have a tweed jacket...

Lovely photos. Some of my favourite ones that I take are also skyscapes - sunrise, sunset, rainbows, clouds, the Moon. Last week I managed to get moonrise and moonset of the Full Moon as in previous months it's been too cloudy. I love the pixie hole in the tree. I too take lots of photos of trees and many have faces. Lovely ones in Trafalgar Square. The red contrasts well with the slightly drab colour of the buildings.

  6. Love all of these photos, K!
I really like the shoes as well, of course :)
I'm off to London in a couple of weeks for a couple of days with some of my friends' rangers unit and I'm quite excited - we have prepared a monopoly challenge for them to do around the city, I just hope nobody gets lost.

  7. You look great, what a brilliant outfit! I love the blazer and would love to wear things like that but I'd feel stupid, I don't think I'd look good in it and I'd probably feel uncomfortable, too formal! I wish I could pull off most of the lovely things you wear!

  10. I love tweed!!! I love your jacket - it's awesome! Looks fantastic with your pretty skirt. And can I just say with the hat and umbrella you even remind me a little of Mary Poppins - and I mean that as a compliment, I love her. So very pretty over all!

  18. How incredibly cute you look! I love the hat/jacket, in fact the whole combo. I like to see people in real places too. Gives me more of an idea about them.

Please come and have a look at my blog too. I would post on Patti's Visible Monday, but my computer doesn't want to hook up with it.

So, if you want to see me (of course you do!) come visit me, Rosemary at

  21. I really love this outfit, the combination of "conservative" fabrics and patterns combined in a decidedly unorthodox fashion... love it!
