5 brooches- part 4

Hello there!
I hope all is well with you!
All is fine over here. I have enjoyed some of the warmer weather over the past couple of weeks- summer hasn't totally gone so the summer dresses are still lurking!
Here's the next instalment of brooches- I had no idea I had so many!

This diamante swallow brooch is from Primark and I bought it more than 3 years ago, I suspect.  I like bird brooches and this one is fairly simple and versatile- worn here with Gingham swing dress- a frequent appearer on this blog!
This is rather geeky, but it is a Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix brooch that came from Goodnight Boutique in a bargain £5 goody bag (5 items!) a few months ago.  I like having a HP brooch and though there's lots of parts that make me sad in this book, this was the one I felt I waited longest for!
Awful shot (and again, I look like I have been scratching my neck!) but this TARDIS blue rose corsage from F21 goes well with the Orla Kiely top, even if it refuses to lie properly!
Double brooch day! I wore both lace butterflies from Bruges but unfortunately  my Alice in Wonderland necklace twisted around got caught up in the back of them and it took a great amount of time to untangle! I didn't even notice when I took the pictures!!
Last but not least, this is the EDIY of the week- another felt decoration from Lidl which I married to a brooch. It is suitably appropriate for the weather and oncoming season and thus I am linking to Spygirl's carrot link up!

Any brooches from you lot?

xx

  2. so ingenious you have used a decoration for Lidl for your brooch. I don't have a lot of brooches but I think all of those I have I actually made myself...that first one is lovely, you know I love birds....and I really like how you wore those two brooches together...too bad about them getting caught up with your necklace.

  3. Wow, dear Kezzie, felt decoration from Lidl and you made it into a brooch, this is so sweet and talented! That brooch is among one of my favorites, although I really loved the "Order of Phoenix", the butterflies and the bird, plus the blue flower! I guess I know what happened :) I sometimes wear some scarves or "innocent" things and when I see, my neck looks like having a dozen of insect bites! But the brooch is lovely! I even wrote on my planner that I will post a brooches' post (post a post is awful :) this year! XXX

  5. I absolutely love the autumn leaf, it was such a clever idea to turn those decorations into brooches. Love the double butterfly as well.

  7. The felt one is fantastic, what a clever idea! Have you seen the felt brooch making kits in Wilkos? They're really sweet and cheap! xxx

  8. I'm so utterly NOT fashionable. I do have lots of jewelry (not many brooches though), but I don't wear it like I should. When I dress, and it's time to decide, I often go with a lazy, non-ornamented look. But I adore that swallow pin -- so beautiful! And i love the fall leaf. It's so, so good to have temps cooling and to see fall arrive.

  10. I LOVE that leaf brooch! You clever thing, you :) I quite like how your necklace tangled up in the brooches- the chain reminds me of old fashioned pocket watches :) xxx

  11. I also love brooches and have quite a few handmade ones and have just started selling some graphic brooches of dogs and cats that I've drawn in my Etsy store.

That last one looks like a Canadian maple leaf : )
