Dear Floss,
I think your advent post idea sounds really delightful! Thank you for having such lovely ideas for blog posts!
Dear Louise,
Please see below. This should answer your questions! I love your blog posts about your walks! I feel like I am somewhat there!
Dear Self,
Get over this irrational fear that rings may get stuck on your finger and not come off. It will come off if it went on and if it gets stuck, well you know where the nearest hospital is and even if you fear it being cut off, well it's not going to kill you! Wear your ring or CBC may think you don't love him!
Dear Stupid left hand ring finger middle knuckle,
Why, why why are you so lumpy and dry? Why can't you be good and flat like the right hand?
Dear V, bride tomorrow,
I am so so happy you found someone dear who you love. You have done an incredible job surviving all these years that have been so so so hard for you, raising your children, to be such amazing individuals, managing to survive all the difficulties and your faith has seen you through. God bless your life together.
Dear Voice,
Please, please please come back! Seriously, you are needed for tomrrow's wedding and for Sunday's Centenary service at church. Your truancy is getting serious now! (Please dear vocal chords, don't have any nodules of polyps on you. I know you get bruised and knackered at school but I need you!)
Dear CBC,
It's been a long week! I hope we get to see each other with so much going on! To quote your own, long ago said words, it would be nice to have a hug in 'my hour of croak'

Congratulations :) Such wonderful news! Don't worry, the ring won't get stuck! Be brave and wear it <3 I hope your voice comes back asap :)

Thinking of you - and voice- and Happy Couple - today.
ReplyDeleteRegarding stuck rings - do not panic, a soak in cool water followed by liberal application of baby oil works wonders.
I had a phone call last week about my upcoming MRI scan. All metal items need to be removed from my person
"and my wedding ring? it sticks sometimes"
"We do not usually expect elderly ladies to have them cut off"
"I am not elderly, I am only in my 50s!" I wailed
Grovelling apology from nhs person.
have a lovely weekend, Kezzie
blessings xx
ps the Floss Advent Pause thing is brilliant DO join in
my engagement is sometimes a bit loose so I got a snug wedding band. In the winter when I get super sexy swollen knuckles and fingers it gets really tight. At one point I was genuinely rather worried I may have to have it cut off, but you know what - it's fine. No need to panic. The snugger the b****r the less likely you are to lose it ;) x
ReplyDeleteOh you must wear your ring - why not try wearing it for an couple of hours each evening at home and gradually increase your wearing time as you get used to it being there and see that you can get it on and off?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Wonderful news :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been MIA this week so I missed the official announcement but am really chuffed by this news.
Re my FridayLetters last week, I'd love to meet you next time you're in Felixstowe for some charity shopping :)
you're just so sweet. Carry some vaseline around when trying rings on. oh god that sounded really rude
