#What is it? #33

It's been a little while since I posted a 'What is it?' . Summer is the best time for spotting interesting skyscapes and today's comes courtesy of Newton-on-the-Sea, Northumberland.

Take a look at the picture above. What does it resemble other than a cloud? What image do you see in the picture?  In the spirit of good fun, please leave a comment with what you see and I love comparing what people see!

What about the last time?

It's really been a while, the last official What is it? was back in May and I shared the follllowing image:

I saw this as a ferocious dragon's head- he's squinting and is very angry with his teeth bared.

What did you see?

  1. The first cloud resembles an eagle...or on closer inspection it could also be a dragon.

the second one looks like a face, but maybe it is just because I read it reminds you of it...thinking about it a bit more, it reminds me of Transformers or Iron man's helmet

  2. The first one looks like nothing distinctive to me. I looked at it far too long and my first thought was hammerhead shark, so I'll go with that!

  3. A hungry dragon that saw something yummy :)

  4. This time round it looks, to me, like a genie lamp or a helicopter.

I really enjoy it when people show their silly side through their blog.

  5. Oh Kezzie - I know you love your clouds, but honestly, I can't see much! I don't comment because all I would say every time is "err, I don't really know... Is it a sheep?" And that would get pretty boring... I think seeing things in clouds is like being able to see those hidden image optical illusion thingies - you can either do it, or you can't. And I can't! xxx

  6. Thank you for being honest Curtise! I just wanted to know what people thought of it and that is a valuable opinion that I wanted to know!x

  7. A bird flying to the left with a whale swimming downwards behind it, humpback I think from the sound of it. I vote for reason #3. Oh wait, are we voting?

As for your question on the length of the tights, I have been finding them almost just the right fit. The could be just a smidge longer but for my purposes they work just fine. I do not actually wear them around, if I did it might be an issue :)

  9. I don't see anything very clear, but to me it looks like someone flying through the air with their arms stretched out to their sides. Maybe with a jet pack on their back.
    ...that makes me sound crazy!

  10. I kind of see a bird flying to the left...but I'm trying too hard. I love your idea to engage people's imaginations through looking for things in the clouds. Usually when I see something in real life it's so fleeting and surprising, an Aha! moment. If I don't join here consistently it's because my imagination has failed me. Gaaa!

  11. I think I actually do love comments more than crisps... I KNOW. Not spam comments, obviously. Crisps are wayyyyyyyyy better than spam comments.

  12. It reminds me of Emu but in the second one it reminds me of a giant paw x

Lots of dragons but also bird references. On a side-note, I really don't mind if people can't see anything! Imaginative lot!

I also shared this photo as part of the last Scavenger Hunt:

This cloud reminded me of that Moomin character, the little girl with the bun in her hair who was always a bit snarky: here she is: apparently, that's Little My. She's facing sideways in the clouds.

Anyway, I'd love to know what you think this week's cloud is?

xx

  1. The first cloud reminds me of a dinosaur! That's my contribution for this week. I don' remember have I commented on last week photos...The second one reminds of those deep sea fishes one sees only on wild documentaries and the third one on a randon person (head and shoulders).

  2. I love this!! Its such a neat idea. I see a pickup truck haha!
And last time I thought it looked like the mouse from the Simpsons...if you know who I mean lol

  6. I see a crocodile or dinosaur type animal, 4 short legs, long tail and body. I saw a cloud T rex whilst sitting outside the tent last week!

  7. #33 is definitely a dinosaur. Sorry I missed out on the other cloud photos. The other photo looks like a giant prehistoric bird.

  12. I see a seal in a foamy white sea (the darker bit of cloud on the right is the seal).

PS. How have I never heard of Newton on the Sea? I feel like a bad Northumbrian now ;-)

  13. That first photo looks to me like a chubby baby heffalump (from Winnie the Pooh), scooting along.
