Silly sisters

When I got married 8 years ago (almost), I shared some photos on here from my wedding.

However, the other day, I found the folder of wedding photos and these two caught my eye. The context of these was that my sister was doing up my dress for me and she wanted to go in up the inner corset a bit so she'd just put her freezing, cold hands down the corset to straighten it. I reacted with a suffer and the photographer caught the moment on film! I then poked my tongue out at her in retaliation.

These pictures make me happy as they reflect our relationship. My sister has always taken care of me and provided so much support over the years. We spent a lot of time together as children and she really was very good to spend so much time with me despite the 4 year age gap.

Recently, there's been something I've been rather anxious about and she's taken the time to talk through it with me and provide support despite being very, very busy and having lots of things to do herself. She understands me the way no one else does: not friends, parents, husband, relations of any sort and I'm grateful to have her.

So these photis are very precious to me.

  2. Siblings are so precious. I'm grateful that my two daughters are so close and so supportive of one another. And I'm so glad we live so close to my Bro and his wife now.

  3. AW, I love these pictures of you and your sister, Kezzie. I have a younger brother, and while I love him dearly, he is a trial. Terrible at relationships (he has 4 kids with 3 different women), horrible at money, and a poor communicator. We rarely speak, sadly.

  4. These photos are absolutely beautiful and the bond between you and your sister is blindingly obvious.
I haven't seen my brother since Xmas Eve, we get along really well when we get together - some crazy long haul holidays, house parties and drunken nights out - but we're both absolutely hopeless at keeping in touch, terrible considering we're the last surviving members of our family! xxx

  5. These photos are true treasures, Kezzie! I am always a bit envious of sisterly relationships like yours. While I do have a sister who lives nearby, we haven't got that special bond, possibly because there is a 10 year age gap, and I left home when she was only 10. xxx

  6. Beautiful photos. Having a sibling is a blessing. I have a brother who I'm close to. I sometimes feel he was more a parent figure to me than my parents, despite the fact that he is less then two years older than me.
