Evenin' all!
I hope all is shiny and bright and bushy-tailed in your home!
As I write, I am at my first orchestra rehearsal since November! We are playing Hadyn's Surprise symphony which I am rather gleeful to play as I've never played the proper version, only a primary school version. It's the one with a big surprise at the end of a phrase...
I adore playing music from the Classical era (1780-1820) as it has such sumptuous melodies and such a light buoyant feel! Think Mozart and Hadyn!
Play it as you are reading! It will brighten any mood!
Anyway...onto the broochage.
Double broochage here for the eagle-eyed. A balloon and a tiny cactus on my favourite tank top.
My trusty old DIY Scrabble brooches giving a little inspiration!
Finally,a pair of pins for my lapels...both presents. The violin was a Christmas present from my penpal Lucy and the heart-shaped one from my Deputy Head teacher! She buys great presents!!!
xx
I think I had a tank top like that, was it a Primark one? Mine was in black, so good for extra layers.

Thanks for the music Kezzie. Your brooches are telling a lot about you.
ReplyDeleteIt sure makes you look shiny and bright and bushy-tailed.
Have a great rest of the day.
Hugs, Julia
I do love those Scrabble tile brooches, so very you!
ReplyDeleteI bought Jan's sister that first badge for Christmas :- I have to thank you again for pointing me in the direction of that Etsy shop.
ReplyDeleteDrink tea and read books is a great mantra! Jx
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice that you rehearsed for a concert, loved that! And yes, it gave me a smile, I love music and concerts! I also loved your brooches - Read books and drink tea - and the print of the dress, wow! The Scrabble pins were great and the balloon as well... all your brooches are really amazing! I hope you have a very beautiful day, dear Kezzie!

I really love your drink tea and read books brooch! x
ReplyDeleteThanks for that "surprising" piece of music, Kezzie. I did as advised and listened to it while I was reading. Lovely to see a close-up of our book dress. And brooch. I want one that says Drink COFFEE and read books, though ... xxx
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post, Kezzie! I'm a HUGE classical music listener. Vivaldi and Beethoven are my personal favorite composers (Baroque and Classical/Romantic eras respectively) but I really like Haydn and Mozart too! Haydn was a big influence on Mozart as well as a mentor to him and even taught Beethoven!
ReplyDeleteGreat composer all the way!
those brooches would brighten everyone's day. I love the music theme on them:)
ReplyDeleteI do love that first brooch. And what a super blouse in the second shot :)
