Hi there!
Welcome to 5 brooches! I LOVE polling days! It meant a day working from home so I could work in the sun, with a garden to sit in! What a perfect day for it.
On we go.
The first brooch- simple silver glittery acrylic feather was the simplicity needed against the busy background of this closet dress. Here's the friends aspect of the post. I love my Punkypins Sloth necklace but I was wearing him to the swimming pool and I put him inside my shoe to stop it getting broken in my swim bag. Post swimming, I forgot, put my foot in shoe and trod heel-first on it and now it has this crack-line near it tail. It hasn't cracked but he looks less picturesque now! Terrible photo but just in case it cracks and breaks, at least it has had its blog debut (which considering how long I've had it, is seriously remiss of me!)
The budgie hasn't been seen on here before- I bought him along with my tin canary and sheriff badge from Re, Corbridge. I'm really fond of him!
Last but not least, my Saxophone brooch lives on this olive corduroy blazer now so expect to see the two always combined!
Any favourites? Have you enjoyed any brooch-wearing this week, either by you or another?
Polyester Princess had the perfect brooch to go with her floral outfit
xx
That sloth is too sweet! And The Broken Sloth sounds like the name of a pub somewhere...or a wrestling hold.

Sorry to hear the sloth has had an accident. Too slow to move out of the way?!
ReplyDeleteThe sax looks great on the jacket and the feather is lovely and simple and graphic.
I love your beautiful walks...so English with all the buildings and flowers.

What a shame about the sloth necklace, but if he's not broken, he's still wearable. And if he does break maybe you could stick the two pieces to a piece of backing and turn him into a brooch?
ReplyDeleteLove the budgie too, he's very cheery :)
Aww, poor sloth being involved in an accident. He's still cute though!
ReplyDeleteThe canary and the sloth are fantastic! What a lovely day to have off yesterday, wasn't it gorgeous? xxx
ReplyDeleteLoving the Dr Who necklace. Glad you got a day off. I am hanging my head in shame. I didn't vote. First time EVER.
ReplyDeleteHaha - I was about to ask what the impossible girl reference related to! Should've known :) xxx
DeleteP.S. I am sorry about the sloth- I broke a new necklace recently due to excessively dramatic gesturing. Oops.
Actually, I think the little line by his tail adds a certain something...
ReplyDeleteAha, another of your 5 brooches posts, which I love. That poor sloth! He is still pretty cute, though, as is the budgie. Ooh, and I got a mention :-) Glad you like my roses brooch. Today, I am wearing a flowery brooch as well. xxx
ReplyDeleteEeee! Sloth! I love sloths! Who knew there were such glorious things as sloth necklaces xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute budgie, like that one very much.

My favourite has to be the budgie one too! Kezzie, it's lovely to read that you enjoy your garden. I remember how upset you were at having to move and now you seem so happy again.
