'Retro' graphics CBC v Kezzie

Hello!
Do you remember the days of Windows where the height of entertainment was found in the form of Solitaire, Mine Sweep, Hearts and PAINT? Not so long ago for me but it does FEEL a while since I did any of that.

CBC and I were sitting upstairs - he was on his phone and I was sitting on the computer. I finally located where to find Paint on this slightly more modern version of Windows (7) than my old XP and was mindlessly doodling a picture.  CBC somehow got involved and was being uber critical of my work. I asked if he could do better and so he had a go.

Both our pictures are below.

Cast your vote in the comments box- whose is better?  I won't tell you who's is who's.

Here are the entrants:

Hey man, what's up

Umbrella Fishes
Philosophical Phishing

Do you still use Paint ever?  Or some modern app? The appeal of doodling on the screen has not diminished for me!

  3. I think I was the last year through school to follow a completely non-calculator Maths course... although I wouldn't have a clue what to do with a 'Log. table' nowadays. The first computer arrived in school when I was in Year 9/ 3rd Year. To be honest I'm a bit baffled by the concept of 'apps'!! Jx

  6. I like the umbrella, the rain, the water and and the fish, It tells me a story of storm weather.
To answer your question, I'm quite well. I've been kept busy by my grandsons today. I babysat a while and not much time on the computer without interruption.
We had lots of fun though...

    1. I used to have paint and my oldest granddaughter would draw pictures but now I have a MacBook Pro and I haven't bought the apt for painting.

  8. I still like solitaire and paint in my xp... Living simple is living from heart. Never try to do what other's do, just listen to your inner core and you will get the path.

I listen to my heart and I wrote some lines here => happytomeet.blogspot.com

where I wrote about new persons we meet and their influence in our life. I just started writing this blog. Hope everyone likes it.

  11. My kids enjoyed Paint, though I can't say I used it myself. I'm taken with the rainy day fish and its umbrella! xxx

  12. They both have their merits, but the Whassup? picture is a bit too clinical with overuse of provided shapes. I prefer the freeform umbrella picture. I have another app on my tablet which is a drawing tool, but I can't remember what it's called.

  13. This post made me laugh - I'd completely forgotten about Hearts. I used to spend hours playing it when I had slow days at work. Scary to think how much technology has moved on in a relatively short space of time, really.

  15. Ha ha, I love MS Paint. We used to mess about on that at school back in the days when computers were massive and greige and we saved things onto a floppy disc! The first one is more professional and snazzy but I like the fishy sea pic the best xxx
