Hello!
Hope you are well!
I've had a manic two weeks. Reports, Rehearsals, concerts, Cycle ride supporting and among that, attempting to feed CBC and I and attempt to be a regular human!
Tonight, I finished my reports! Hurrah! I can't believe we only have about 3 weeks left of school! It's gone so quickly and been so crazy.
Happy to have been asked to play flute for a concert of Mahler 5 with Orchestra of the City. It's fun to add another of the London amateur orchestras to my metal list of the ones I have played with. I should keep an actual list
School has been another disrupted week what with Eid (takes several days out), Year 6 transitions and then next week, 2 day of teacher strikes. Never have I been so behind with all my plans.
Someone stole my lunch from the fridge today at school! We had had a Year 6 breakfast last week and there were TONS of cheese rolls (like sausage rolls) left. I rescued some last week and put them in the fridge and then put the rest in the freezer. Defrosted 3 last night. They were in the fridge in my own personal glass dish. They were there at 8.05am when I went into the staff room). By 12.30, they had vanished and my glass dish was in the dishwasher, clean. Bizarre and very irritating!
Cooked a very weird combination of food tonight for CBC and I. He was very sceptical but declared, "I'm really enjoying this! It's a surprisingly good combination. I really thought it wouldn't work!"
It was 'Macaroni cheese pasta bake (posh Lidl ready meal in foil), home grown kale, Roasted turnips, onion scapes and aubergines!
You should know that I have cracked out the rainbow dress again. It is one of my favourite ever charity shop purchases and I wore it in a new combination.
Oh my you have been busy! Only 3 more weeks though!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is a stunner and looks so good on you! xxx
Sounds like you might need to put a post-it note with your name on your items in the fridge! That would be disappointing! (especially leaving you without lunch!)
ReplyDeleteNot long now, Kezzie, hang in there! GAH, that is the most annoying thing in the world, when someone steals your food! I have actually labeled a drawer in our fridge as "Sheila's Stuff" (I supply file labels and insist everyone label everything - but I'm the admin and I get to set rules like that, lol).
ReplyDeleteYou look SPECTACULAR in that gorgeous dress! Kudos on wearing it backwards, 'cause the neckline is so pretty with your wrap cardi and necklace. You look GAW-JUS, darling!
Have a great weekend - I hope you get to relax. :)
You know that Madras dress is one of my favourites, don't you? You look so pretty in it.
ReplyDeleteGah! I lived in a shared house for a few years and hated it when my housemates stole my food, I'd never dream of doing it. xxx
Loving the rainbow dress. So pretty.
