It's Monday night and I am, once again, up hideously late! Am also rather last minute with my TARDIS Tuesday choice!
Today's inspiration is the Doctor Who character Amy Pond from back in Matt Smith's tenure as the Doctor. This was a swashbuckling adventure set on a pirate ship with an alien twist! Amy Pond was wearing her ubiquitous checked shirt and a very short denim skirt. In addition, she was wearing a peachy cardigan (not pictured), hot pink tights and boots and later dons a pirate's frock coat and tricorn.
As usual, when I do a last minute TARDIS Tuesday, a crucial article could not be found, namely my short, fitted black skirt that always doubles for any short, dark fitted skirt worn by a Doctor Who character. Instead, I had to substitute it for this not-fitted denim skirt.
Amy's shirt is originally from Uniqlo, as is mine, but mine just looks similar, it isn't identical. Hot pink tights and long boots have long been part of my wardrobe venacular
Luckily, I still kept CBC's Tricorn from when we went to the Pirate party on the Golden Hinde in London so it was easy to fetch from my hat shelf (oh yes, joy and rapture- my wardrobe has a hat shelf!)
Finally, I decided to add this black embellished jacket I own to give it the full look. Wishing my badly made Silver foil rapier wasn't at school and was here for photos! Alas, not!
Rating on how comfy this outfit is: 7/10. The shirt and skirt plus boots combo is very comfortable but I am never 100% happy in tights. Still, this is an outfit, I will definitely try again!
This rather wonderful episode features Hugh Bonneville and has an interesting story line, if a little unbelievable!

I love this! I have seen that Golden Hinde in London, BTW (I'm in Canada). Your hat is perfect, as is the fun jacket. I think the denim skirt looks good. Yay for dress-up!
