I love pretty tights! I have an awfully large hoard in my house which I keep all stuffed into a big Pearl Lowe basket beach bag! The other day, I was looking at a Blogger's post in which she was wearing the most adorable tights that reminded me of 101 dalmations which she listed as being from ASOS. Now I have scoured the ASOS website for tights on numerous occasions, including in the recent sale, but never actually bought any from there. So, I headed over there and typed in tights and 471 styles were found. Ok admittedly, socks and tights get bunched up together but that is a LOT of tights for one shop to stock.
I decided to scout through and find the ones I liked best to share with you!
Firstly, these gorgeous spot ones are only £3.00 in the sale- even I don't mind that and they are a good-quality make. I like the sock-style!
These bit spot ones are super cute too!
I've had my eye on these cat ones for ages but am too scared to buy them because I am pretty sure I will ruin them in one sitting and that would break my heart (well, not quite- I'm not THAT sad!) and for £8, that's a risk I don't want to run!
In the Suspender-style, these elephant topped tights are so adorable but would have to be worn with very short skirt- not sure I could do that very often! Adorable though.
I thought elephants were exciting but SQUIRREL tights? My cup, it runneth over! Also £8.00
These bird print ones are so pretty and feminine. I could imagine
The Brunette buying these!
These Paris skyline ones are really adorable but that skirt looks like it's barely covering her bottom so er- sadly, I might not buy these (though tempted...)
I love the cartoony quality of these ones and could imagine wearing these with my cartoon bag and primary colours for a comic-book style.
Again, cartoony sweetness- these eyes are so fun! Would I maybe ruin these too soon?
Ok, so that's enough swooning over tights.
It doesn't end there though. Oh no...
For every pair of lovely tights, there are several monstrosities:
Urgh- NINETY POUNDS????? REAAAALLY??? I'll just get some £2 ones and rip some holes down the back?
These aren't so bad. In theory, a er-sweet idea. But would I pay £40 for tights which my Reception children would pick at? Nope!
Would you buy any of these? Any more from ASOS that you like? There are lots more but these are my favourites!
xx
Yumm. Tights are my favorite item. I own a full box of 'em. These are lovely.
ReplyDeletei would buy all of them! i love the cats and birds ones.
ReplyDeletethose are all awesome and sexy! very cool!
ReplyDeleteYou could recreate the expensive ones at the bottom with regular tights and some of those sweetie bracelets :) xxx
ReplyDeleteOh I love the squirrel ones and the cat ones are super cute.
ReplyDeleteThe most expensive pair I bought were from John Lewis many years ago. They had holly on them and because I only wore them a couple of times in December each year they lasted me years and years but I would fret over laddering any of these too easily.

Ah an ode to my favorite bit of fashion. And such amazing choices too. A perfect post to wake me from my sleepy state this evening. Many "wows" and "thank yous" dear :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I love these all except for the Jeweled version. Just pictured a pair of tights at my new bloggie. Come and see. ;) xo
ReplyDeleteI like the dotted ones best, but I don't really wear tights very often. You really picked out some cute ones. But ninety pounds! I've heard Wolford is a good brand, but that's just crazy.
ReplyDeleteI own a ridiculous amount of tights. I wish all of them were comfortable, but some are not! Those cats....gorgeous, but yeah i think they'd rip/ladder easily. The squirrel pair are amazing!!! I saw similar ones in primark (cats I think) but like you say, the outfit would have to be extremely short and I'd never wear anything short enough. I love the Paris pair too.
