What is it? #69 It's a cloud!!!

Hello there!

Welcome to another edition of 'What is it?', the blogpost that demands your examining of your imagination to see a different image beyond the one presented.  Where a cloud is not just a cloud, a potato is not just a potato and a pattern on a curtain is something else!

This week, we are back to the old perennial favourite, the humble cloud! In the cloud below, I saw something OTHER than just the cloud scape that was photographed.  But what was it I saw?  What do you see?  Animal, human, mineral, famous character, a scene from a famous film?  Who knows?
Do leave a comment saying what you see?  I encourage you to look at the shapes WITHIN the cloud and the outlines if you are stuck!

What about last time?
The lesser known Potato Seal or King Edward Sloth...
These potatoes reminded me very much of a Sloth or a seal! I saw both, depending on how I felt. A seal with its head to the left OR a sloth sleeping with its head down. They look sad, whichever one it is?  Maybe it has stomach pains??

What did the illustrious commenters see?

8 comments:

  1. Hi, Kezzie! I definitely could see the fish in the tree. The potatoes are harder! I'm seeing a baby whale on its side in the front potato.

  2. I see something with small head and a rather large belly laying on its side. It looks like perhaps the thing is rather sad... Or maybe it ate too much and has a belly ache, hahaha.

  6. Is it a seal? I worry that I'm not very good at using my imagination sweetie xxx

  7. The front potato looks like a fat baby seal to me. But if I look at it the other way round it's a hippo.

  8. sorry, I got nothing.

Two seals were sighted (and YES, Anna, you ARE good at this!!) by our commenters, Bev and Anna, A hippo from Bev too and a Whale from FundyBlue too. All of these animal are rather large grey/brown-looking creatures who don't always move lots.  Julia saw the small face of the creature too and the fact it was sad and I LOVE Sophie's Speech bubble- yes, it definitely is!!! Don't worry Ivana, thanks for commenting anyway, I appreciate you trying! And apologies to the 'Follow for follow' commenter who 'loves' everything. The way to my heart and a potential follow is ACTUALLY engaging with the blog post and telling me what you see in the image. Come back and comment properly on this post and maybe I'll give you a follow!!! :-)

Do share what you saw!

What is it? #65 - The coat that wasn't a coat!

I was at my Mum's back at the start of June, staying the night.  As I was reading and just about to go to bed, I looked down to the end of my bed to where a camel-coloured coat of my Mum's sat folded with a purple crocheted hat sitting on top.  Except, I didn't just see a coat...

What do you see in the image above?  Do leave a comment sharing what you saw!

What about last time?

From an episode of "The Twits."
If you recall that I served CBC an experimental dinner using some odds and ends from the garden including chive flower petals. He saw the above chive petal and was HORRIFIED as he didn't know what it was and only saw that it strongly resembled a TINY MOUSE!  He didn't believe me at first that it was a chive flower petal and sent a Whatsapp to his family saying, "This is it- we are like Mr and Mrs Twit- Kezzie is feeding me Baby mice secretly!  I totally saw it too!

What did you lot think it was?

  1. A dead flower.

  3. A tiny mouse in my eyes too!

  4. Easiest one yet, definitely a mouse (sorry to be eating that CBC!) I see the lion too in the cloud, then totally saw a dragon like creature with a large eye when I looked below that. Brilliant!

  5. it looks like a flower to me, sorry can't see anything else.

  6. I see a tiny mouse.

I definitely see the eye on the last one now you mentioned it. It looks really creepy!

Little mouse and dead flower are the unanimous responses!  Ha ha! Maybe CBC had a point!

Anyway, please do leave me a comment saying what you think the coat resembles!!!

What is it? #61 Cloudscapes

Hi there!

Welcome to another round of What is it?  The game where  I am inviting you to see if this cloud reminds you of an object, animal, person or other thing and share your ideas in the comments below. It is all a bit of fun and I promise I am not psychoanalysing you! The more, the merrier!

This was another loud I saw in the Summer in Northumberland.
It reminded me of something.... but what????
Leave a comment below saying what the cloud reminds you of.

But what about last time??

I featured this cloud.  CBC and I were in accordance that this was a dragon flying towards the ground- it's face is pointing to the right- you can see its wings, legs and tail outstretched.

But what did the audience at home think?

6 comments:

  1. Now you've said it I totally see the couple!

    Today's is easy. It's clearly a pteradactyl ;-)

  2. A flying peacock. It's so obvious for me, it looks like a peacock I saw flying from a shed-thing down to the ground, at a safari park a few years ago. Love this.
    ReplyDelete
  3. I see a small octopus being chased by a giant fish! Not sure if I am see it right but that's the visual I gathered!!! :)
Thanks for sharing, Kezzie! I love clouds!!

  4. The top one is a flying dragon.

  5. Oh Kezzie, much as I love this feature I never guess it right! I don't have a clue, but also still can't see the man and woman despite your description! I must be so lacking in imagination. Anyway, please keep 'em coming as I love the challenge and you never know I may even get one right.

    Have a super week!

  6. This is fun! For this cloud I see a really long snail.. Haha!
    ReplyDelete

What a nice selection of images.  Just a small note about Anna's comment- please don't think you have to 'guess right?' I am more interested in what you see in the cloud- not that you see exactly what I see.  I just like seeing what people see. Last time, I saw what everyone else saw after they said it.  I loved all these ideas shared by the illustrious commenters.  Gretchen Joanna even saw the same as me!!!

Please do leave your comment below and don't worry if someone else has already said what you are going to say; that's what we call, 'Great minds think alike!'  Equally, if your idea is totally 'out there', go for it- I love those!

What is it? #59 - strange markings on the train platform.

It has been a while since my last installments of What is it?, the game where you see some picture and try to see an image in it other than what it really is.
So I was standing waiting for the train at the station near school and I looked down at these black raising markings and they rather reminded me of something.
Here's a few more of them that resembled something else.

Just for fun, have a look at them and leave a comment below on what you think the shapes remind you of. Are they silhouettes of familiar shapes, objects or beasts?

What about last time?

Back in November, I shared this image of a plant growing in my Mum's garden.

The growth in question was a vegetable called an Achocha.

What did the studio audience think it was?

9 comments:

  1. I am useless with plants so it's no good asking me! Haha. Is it some kind of cucumber?

  2. Is it an unripened strawberry?

  6. I grew something that looked like this, it was called 'fat babies' or something like achocha, but mine never fruited :(

  7. Are we meant to be guessing the actual plant or what it looks like?! I've never grown them but I think this is a baby cucumber?

Thanks for your comment just now too - glad you enjoyed the frosty pictures... sorry I've not visited your blog much lately - been super busy at the house for last couple of weeks!

  9. My first thought was cucumber and I can see others thought the same!

Well, there certainly was a consensus on something cucumbery except for Pith San who left the same message on about 20 posts, no matter what the subject. Aha, Second Hand Susie got it exactly right! They are a vegetable called Achochas which are part of the Courgette family from the Andes. You can read more here..My mum had an absolute glut of them this year. They do taste rather like cucumber raw but when you fry them, they become rather like peppers.

I look forward to seeing your ideas!

What is it? #58

We are back to my favourite type of post where you say what you thought a picture looked like, rather than what it is! E.g.a  cloud that looks like a poodle!
This time, however, I would like to you do identify what the original object was?

It seems smiling very nicely, but what was the object that smiled?
Leave a comment in the box below- it is a bit of fun!

What about last time?

Lord and lady.

Well, for me, this cloudscape was actually  The head and shoulders (plus arms) of a regal-looking Dandy gentleman.  He is facing to the right with a bit of a quiff, at the front and a curl to the back of his head rather an earnest facial expression, mouth shut but perhaps those lips are puckered up to give a kiss because he is holding is hand out, perhaps they are dancing- clad in jacket and lacy sleeve to a delicate ethereal lady who is only just to be seen at the side of the picture- her hair is coiffed on top of her head, she has a tin nose and her rather delicate waif-like hand is held in the Dandy's hand- he is probably going to kiss it!

What did the LOVELY collection of commenters (and THANK YOU for so many people joining in- it made me very happy!)  think?

  4. I definitely agree with the other answers above, teddy bears jumped out immediately to me! I can also, kind of, make out Falcor's head from The Neverending Story there too, I think it's the rounded edge on the right, it looks like his nose! Love these. - Tasha

  6. In the cloud, I see some old woman laying on her back on the left bottom of the picture, playing the flute. I also see two creatures dancing on her forehead. Maybe some little gnomes dancing on her forehead.

At about two third down, I see a little Teddy bear.
The green rock looks like a frog to me.

Oh my goodness, now so many of you said it about the Teddy bears waltzing- he and his partner- I TOTALLY see it!!  And there's much agreement on dancing! All the dragon ideas are brilliant too and hippo and pig snouts- I can definitely see those!!
Brilliant contributions folks! Thank you!!
