December 2013 Scavenger Hunt

I'm a little late with posting December's List of Scavenger Hunt photos to uploading and finding them all but here they are. Thanks to Jill at Made with Love for organising the list to hunt for Silver IMG_0068 CBC and his siblings dislike the silver Christmas tree but I am rather fond of it!

25 IMG_9582 Pondering what to do for this one and then noticed the buttons I had laid out ready for a possible Valentines/wedding/new baby boy card on the window sill totalled 25. Though I did go boggle-eyed trying to count them!

Religious Icon IMG_0151 I sang in the Catholic church in Hexham on Christmas eve and spent much of my December in churches. Did I remember to take a picture? Nope! Instead, we have the derelict church at Beamish

Shiny IMG_0256 These gnashers are definitely shiny! Oh the horrors of Edwardian dentistry!

IMG_0075 Or just the more conventional Christmas bauble!

Movement IMG_0293 On New Year's day, as I walked around the park trying to clear my headache, I noticed the water jet being pushed around by the ferocious wind. Curiously eerie at 4.30pm!

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!". Having fun with sprouts!
Words IMG_0149 I will, I will!!!

Recipe IMG_0126 To the disgust of the resident vegetarian, I boiled up the turkey carcass and made turkey, lentil and vegetable soup on the 27th. I enjoyed it even if no one else did!

Candles IMG_0170 So many attempts at romantic candle pictures and then I discovered the art of tallow-candle making at the farm cottages amongst my Beamish photos!

Cake IMG_0189 The great thing about the town at Beamish is that you can buy things from the shops! This coconut cake was delicious! Please go and visit the other brilliant photos at Made with love with Jill. The majority of these were taken at Beamish near Durham which I will talk about in a later post.
